There at it again! I was one of the lucky ones. I managed to refinance with another company after "eating" over $40,000 in bogus fees and incorrect payoff figures. In over two years, I never did see an accounting of where my payments went or how they were posted. (interest vs principle). Wee, it has been almost four months and lo and behold!

My credit report suddenly shows a foreclosure on my house and that I have been over 60 days late more than 12 times. Where they come up with these figures amazes me. It's magic! Abracadabra-- you now have a foreclosure that never happened!!! Well, I am livid. I am screwed and cannot get any credit. My FICO's are pathetic now and I look like a bum! I disputed this with the credit bureau. I have original cancelled checks, mind you. They of course called OcWen, who said it was correct.

Surprise!!!!!!! I am now even more livid and am feeling totally powerless. Please, anyone out there have any REAL advice. How do I get this off my credit? It is ridiculous. I obviousely still have my home and was never foreclosed on. They don't even own my loan anymore! When I called OcWen, Wendy (who would not give her last name or employee number) told me that she could not help me because I no longer have an account and she could not, per OcWen policy, give me the name and number of a person or supervisor that could help me. She wasn't allowed!!!!!!

She then stated she would transfer my call, but came back on and said they were having "technical difficulties" and I could not call in from outside as this "nameless" person could only be reached though in-house phone transfer. She did not know how long it would take to "fix" those difficulties and could not help me at all and had no further advice.

She really did not care. It was obvious. She then hung up on me. I am screwed again!!!! I have written complaints to the FTC. I have written an affidaved to join the lawsuit.(Who can wait for that. I have to live in the meantime. While the lawyers all play their court games that take years at mine and your expense!) I am depressed and disgusted. I cannot get any credit. I feel like they have destroyed my life and my finances. I really don't know how much more of this company I can take. Any fruitfull, worthwhile suggestions??? P.S. I am eternally grateful to this website for allowing us the opportunity to be heard! You are the best!

Dear Denise, I understand your frustration; but at least you have your roof secured over your head. You take a deep breath, remember that, and take action. I had and have the same credit fight with Ocwen. All the credit bureaus need is "anypaper with Ocwen name on it". Send copies of all your cancelled checks and any other documents showing you are still the owner of your house (I am sure you have these) and send them to the four bureaus, Equifax, TransUnion, Experian and Innovis. (use Certified mail so you have proof). Pay the bureaus for their online monitoring service (around $70 a year for Equifax and for Experian) that is little money for your peace of mind. I check my credit over the net on daily basis, and I have sent consumer statements about Ocwen to all bureaus. You might want simplicity: "I am the owner of my property and Ocwen Federal Bank, FSB has reported a foreclosure on it that never took place. This report is not correct and hurts my score" (just an example) I'm sure you can do it better. Create slightly different ones for each bureau so everybody who pulls out different credit reports for you has a better picture. Keep sacred copies of everything and show them to your creditors. If the copies are legitimate you will eventually get the credit you deserve. Send copies too, again and always with Certified Mail to the FTC and to your General Attorney. If you feel aggravated enough, make them part of Public Records or suit the agencies or Ocwen. Piece of cake if you have proof and don't mind Ocwen's temper tantrums. Chances are you don't need these extreme measures, because you already saved your home. Be patient. Legal actions take time. Cheer up! In a few weeks you will see results. (I had and have to fight like a lion for my credit too, and Ocwen is still the Dis-Servicer of my loan)Do not make the mistake of talking to them about your problems.(It is O.K. to do it if you need to tell them you hate them -I do it several times on weekly basis for my health benefit- They don't care and will not help you. Always be loud about them with others and do not believe anything they tell you. Ocwen is a Customer Service Disoriented intitution.

I have read your complaint about Ocwen and their bogus credit bureau reporting. I know you have had the credit bureaus investigate. However, with all your cancelled checks, etc. and all your paperwork, I would continue to have the credit bureaus investigate, and or put in your 100 statement. That by law they have to do. So each time a credit bureau is pulled, the 100 word statement is there with your explaination also. Now, if you keep disputing Ocwen, if by any chance they EVER go past 30 days without a reply, then the credit bureaus HAVE to delete the record. Good luck, and KEEP pushing the issue. I would also check into a possible case of illegal reporting. You have your records, you WILL win. I know it's frustrating, but you need to be persistant! When the dumb a's got my mortgage, the FHA MIP insurance disappeared, and now I can't refinance without it. No one wants to refinance a FHA loan that is not insured. I will tell you one company that WON'T sell the mortgage, and that is James B. Nutter & Co. You can find them by typing in their name in google. They too are well aware of the ways of Ocwen. I hope this helped at least some....
