Ocwen Federal Bank ripoff Help, I'm in a nightmare and can't wake up, destroying us, Untimely postings, or not posting pymts. at all, Lies, harrassment, foreclosure attempts West Palm Beach Florida
I have been a homeowner for 23 yrs. with no problems, untill Ocwen started servicing my account in 2001. From the very first statement, problems occured. Ocwen notified me by mail dated June 21,01 that I was in danger of being removed from the foreberance plan because they had not received any payments from me.
I immediatly tried to contact them to let them know that by June 21, I had sent three payments. In fact the June payment was sent the end of May and my bank records showed the check was cashed on June 6th, but not posted to my account untill August. The same thing happened with my July payment, check cashed but not posted for three weeks. Ocwen had the nerve to tell me for each day my payment was late, I was being charged $41.00
The written and signed aggrement was for me to make my regular mortgage pymt,plus an extra $500.00 dollars per month, making my payment $l910.00 per mo. for 5 mos. Keep in mind, I was only 2 mos. in arrears to begin with. At the end of the 5 mos.,they called me and told me I was now 7 mos. behind.
Each month,I would receive multiple statements with drastic differences in numbers but never see my $500 FB pymts. posted. I was in constant touch with Ocwen, but not one person could tell me what was going on not even their law firm of Moss and Codilis.
I have proof of statements, bank checks,letters, names of people with whom I spoke to. I was reassured not to worry right up to the day I received foreclosure papers.
We are not young people, my husband is 71 yrs. old and works 2 jobs. This horrible nightmare has taken its toll on both of us. Ocwen must be stopped. We live in fear of losing our home!
