Whether you receive a statement or not, you know what your payment date is and how much of a payment is due on that date. If your bank offers online billpay, use that and set it up as a recurring payment. That way you won't have to be "reminded" to make a mortgage payment.

from Ocwen. When I was doing the " pay alittle more then the monthly payment" dance with them, they said they would resume in July. They did, and that was probably the last one I got. I also wire my mortgage thru Money Gram, I would never send them a check-not after what I read here.

T, The ONLY way you are going to keep these vultures from trying to steal your home is by using Western Union Quick Pay. Otherwise, trying to pay by phone, online, sending in, is just setting yourself up for eventual foreclosure. These unscruptulous companies are deliberatly trying to set everybody up in urging folks to use the above "options" because they know it will eventually happen. Murphy's Law everybody! The only safe way is to send it by Western Union Quick Pay. It has to be "Quick Pay." This means you give Western Union your cash. I know carrying around that much cash is nerve racking, but it is the only sure way you can prove you have paid on time or during your grace period. I am sure you have Western Union in your city. Go, preferably, to a large market like Safeway, Vons, etc., if not then go their one of their offices. Fill out an application for a Western Union Card (you will get a little discount), but the main reason you want the card is because once you do, you are issued a something like 10 digit number. So, everytime you fill out your slip with this number, all your payment information will be in their system and your Mortgage Co and account number will automatically come up including the amount and date. ALWAYS, double check your receipt for this information and always have them stable your small paper receipt to it. File it away religiously and keep all your mortgage statements together. Since I don't trust anyone anymore (when it comes to my home), I keep the all original payments in a safe deposit box at the bank in case of God forbid, a fire, etc. Keep a copy in your files at home. It is absolutely necessary to go to these lengths now because these subprime lenders are seriously trying to steal your property from under your nose and will stop at NOTHING! What is absolutely amazing to me is how this government and all these regulatory, DA, agencies are allowing this to happen to good, hardworking, people!! It's disgraceful!!!! We are the backbone of this country and we're getting S-C-R-E-W-E-D!!!!!!!!!!!!! and out in broad daylight to boot, while everyone is acting like they're NOT looking. I can't say it enough, EVERYBODY OUT THERE, contact the big class Action Attorneys in your city. If they not in your city, here's a hint. One of the biggest and best Specialty CA Law Firms in the country is located in San Francisco. They represented many people in the Ameriquest Class Action Suit. Look them up on the web. Their there and everyone needs to take responsibility in doing their part. Otherwise, lots of folks will continue to lose their homes. Pray to God it doesn't happen to you or someone you love. That's why it's important to contact a firm now. Always continue search ways in which to protect yourself. PS. Can someone out there shed some light on why mortgage companys do NOT (I think) have to provide a monthly statement. Or is it that they do not have to provide a monthly statement to someone who's in bankruptcy? If this information is incorrect, then please enlighten on how to go about getting your lender to provide monthly statements? I hope someone can answer both questions. Thanks.

First and foremost I do not like Ocwen and yes they do have predatory lending within that company. I don't work for them nor will I ever work for them. But I wanted to address your email to them: First of all a mortgage lender is not required to give you a monthly statement, thats actually a luxery. Just like if you loaned a friend or family member money do you send them a statement every month. Your contract you signed is your monthly statement because it tells you when your due date is and what your grace period is. As far as your other complaints to your email, the only thing I can suggeest is contacting a live person, do depend on the automated machines or computer to make your payment take the extra step and push "0" to get to a live person. Probably if my mortgage would of been sold to Ocwen I would try to refi too, but everything in your contract you signed with the previous mortgage company will not change. As far as the Western Union deal, I didn't know they went out of business, because we still have them here in Oklahoma, but if it is who ever bought out Western Union would handle the payment transaction and that new company will still have a "AKA" Western Union, which is the reason it hasn't been changed on there system.
