Ocwen Loan Services BEING HELD HOSTAGE Orlando, Florida
I refinanced my home in 1999 through a financial institute out of southern Ohio.
The people I had dealings with were very friendly, and everything was open and above board. After a few months I received notice that my loan,along with a few others,had been purchased by a bank out of Fla.. That is when the nightmares started first they said they did not receive the first payment in time,although it was send more than a week in advance, so late fees were added. This happened rather frequently over the next couple of years. I could never get in touch with them to try and straighten it out,either the line was constantly busy or when someone accidentaly picked up they spoke broken English in a Spanish accent and we could not communicate. Having no recourse and failing to find other means to resolve the situation I struggled with it for the next four years.The, family owned and run, company I had been working for ,for the past twenty two years went bankrupt and they packed up and slipped out of town in the middle of the night.That was 1999, I found another job and put that part of my life behind me,I found out that my former employee had milked our pension fund, so that left town with them.I had my 401K at my new job and with careful investments it was growing at a pretty good rate.Then came 09/11/2001 and my 401K went down with the towers. In 2003 I was forced into retirement due to age and health, left with no savings and no pension I was forced into bankruptcy.Everything went and my wife and I were left with only our S. S. to live on.Ocwen got the house and property,but that was not good enough for them, although there was enough equity in the house for them to recover the amount owed after the sale,they decided to teach me a lesson and would not take my name off the title and after foreclosure had the home taken off the county sale list.I am being billed by the City for back taxes to 2007 and for maint.,such as grass mowing and trash removal. The city says as long as my name is on the title I am the owner. But the catch is I can not do anything to get my name off the title,only Ocwen can and they will not even talk to me about it. My E-mails go unanswered and when I leave a call back number they will not call back.
