Ripoff Report Verified™ REVIEW:

EDitor’s UPDATE: Positive rating and recognition has been given to MedLaserDepot for its commitment to excellence in customer service.

Ripoff Report’s discussions with MedLaserDepot have uncovered an ongoing commitment by the company to total client satisfaction. This means that clients can expect that the company will work towards finding a mutually satisfactory resolution to any complaints or concerns. MedLaserDepot listens carefully to client concerns and sees them as an opportunity to learn from past mistakes and become more efficient as a company in the services offered and the support for those services.

MedLaserDepot’s owner, Samuel David, "Our extensive experience has taught us how not only to buy the best equipment, but how to sell equipment in a VERY competitive market segment. Selling good equipment starts with BUYING good equipment. Our depth of relationships within the industry, allows us to choose the best equipment for resale. This ensures our customers (you); get the very best equipment available on today’s market. MedLaserDepot.com is a company that has a very focused effort to sell high end lasers and cosmetic equipment, to both dealers, and end users. MedLaserDepot.com is positioned to buy and sell late model equipment, our sources include banks, repossession firms, manufacturers’ representatives, and end users. We typically purchase, and re-sell equipment. We will however also broker in some unique situations. Regardless, all equipment is full serviced, and certified prior to resale.

We treat our customers as the most important part of our business, as they are. We try to add as much value as we can wit consultative sales, and assisting thru the sales process and after. We have added a few new layers of customer service to assist in addressing customer issues with a methodical process. We also have a newly focussed process thats puts the customer first, regardless of the origin of the issue. Even post-warranty, and patient treatment questions.”

The information provided in this report below is based on comments made by Samuel Lehrer during an on-site inspection held by a third party verification company with no biases toward MedLaserDepot.

MedLaserDepot is a company specializing in selling off-lease, repossessed and traded-in cosmetic lasers and equipment. Primary customers for these products are physicians, medical spas, and dealers. MedLaserDepot’s business consists of approximately 40% export, and 60% domestic. Leads are typically acquired through internet searches and advertising, with approximately 80% of their customer base coming to them this way. Other sources of leads include trade publications and mailers.

The typical sales process at MedLaserDepot begins with a new potential customer contacting the team at MedLaserDepot to inquire about their available products. A sales representative will discuss the inventory with the customer and at that point, the customer will decide if he or she would like to view the equipment. Local customers are able to view the equipment in the showroom, while customers who are farther away or overseas have the option of viewing the equipment via Skype, Facetime, or other video messaging service. Shipping services are also available, and MedLaserDepot assists in arranging the shipping for both domestic and international orders.

MedLaserDepot Customer Complaint Resolution Services

"At times, a customer may not feel satisfied with the service or product they received. Most often, if a customer is unhappy and lodges a complaint, it is regarding the shipping time of the equipment. This is the case with a complaint posted to Ripoff Report. “[Our] equipment is repossessed or off-lease, which is explained in the shipping terms. It could be a week or a month, depending on the time spent on paperwork. [It is] all dependent upon where the equipment is located,” explains Samuel Lehrer, a representative of MedLaserDepot. In this case, “[the] customer decided to issue a complaint via Ripoff Report. The issue may have been resolved if allowed some more time, but a refund was issued to the customer,” states Mr. Lehrer.

Since receiving the complaint on Ripoff Report, MedLaserDepot has taken several steps to improve their sales process and avoid customer complaints in the future. They have begun issuing a disclaimer to all their customers at the beginning of the sale process stating that shipping may take up to a month, depending on the location and status of the equipment. “[We] also make sure to keep the clients updated on the shipment. Which, understandably, can make the clients upset when hearing it may take longer than expected,” states Mr. Lehrer. They have also lifted some of their more rigid policies that were in place regarding refunds and credits, making them more available to the customer if the situation warrants it, and are striving to be as clear as possible throughout the sales process.

Mr. Lehrer and the rest of the team at MedLaserDepot recognize the value of working with Ripoff Report and the Corporate Advocacy Business Remediation and Customer Satisfaction Program, and the platform it provides for businesses and clients to interact and resolve issues. “This will give us a chance to eliminate negative feedback,” states Mr. Lehrer.

MedLaserDepot / Statements from the owner Samuel David

"We also work on individual requests for specific pieces of equipment. Many buyers have specific requirements that may not be met with current/immediate inventory status. We do however have the ability to search our specific requests, for discriminating buyers. You tell us what you want, we’ll find, fast, and at a fair price. There are a lot of choices in today’s market. We look forward to the opportunity to help you make the RIGHT choices. Whether you buy from us, or somewhere else, we are always available to assist.”

MedLaserDepot Customer Testimonials

"Today we received the Laser machine and I wanted to take the time to thank you for all your help. It has been a great pleasure working with you. Your team is great to work with especially Ulysses, Juan David and your drivers. All very nice, patient and willing to help with anything. Everyone has been extremely friendly and very helpful. I am happy to say that I received the machine with great timing. And giving us a free loaner is something NOBODY has even done for us. You saved our lives, we would have lost so many patients. You provided me with great service since day one. After several bad experiences with the past with outher repair companies I have tried, I can finally say with all honesty that I am very happy and content with my results. Thank God I found you and again I am very pleased with your services. I wish you the best of luck and we will definitely have a good business relationship where we can always count with each other. Thank you again and have a blessing day :)" ~ Odalys, IdeaLaser Cosmetic Center - Miami, FL

Ripoffreport Report Image

"We recently had a VERY harrowing experience purchasing a star-Lux 500. We contacted MedLaser, and I spoke with David. Regarding what we were looking for, and various configurations the Palomar lasers offer. He was very knowledgeable, and I was really impressed with the time he spent, and his help in guiding me into just the right machine. We had already demo’d the equipment with the local Palomar rep, and we found David to be more knowledgeable than the actual Palomar rep. So needless to say we were ready to buy (more than 50% off). We signed the contract, and we were ready to take deliver. When the local Palomar rep (I will not give his name) found out we bought a used laser, he was quite upset. The next day we received phone call from the rep, telling us the laser we were purchasing had a lien on it. He also said some very disparaging things about buying used equipment, and David. I hung up the phone, and I was super nervous. I contacted David, and shared my concerns. He was very understanding and helpful, he assured me this was simply a way to try and sell new lasers, and he would get the necessary documentation I needed from the bank. After researching the serial number, we came to find out that only was there no “lien,” but the system was NEVER EVEN FINANCED, the original owner had paid, in full, on his American Express). I was given a copy of the statement, and a letter from the previous owner (I have even attached a copy of that actual American Express bill from the previous owner, there was no way to fake that). I have to say I was ready to cancel my order when I hung up the phone with the local rep, and really tempted to just buy the new laser. However my husband and I figured we would wait and see what documents came back, and when we saw them, we were REALLY supervised. EVERYTHING that was said was fabricated… Even more disturbing was how VERY badly they spoke about David and his company. I was disgusted at the lies, and believe me I made it known. I am writing this only to share what I have experienced, I cannot speak for others, but I definitely had a good experience with David, AND saw firsthand, how really difficult they made it for David. So that’s my story. Long, but it was an experience to say the least. We have since bought some additional hand pieces, and all has been fine. We did have one break, they fixed it, and so far so good.” ~ Angel Turlington

Off Lease Laser

Complaint Description:

I Called 12/30/2015 to order lasers, signed contract regarding same, paid 20K and was told the rest would be financed. Company MIA now. Peter Gill Sales & Marketing Off Lease Only Medical Equipment OffLeaseONLYmedical.com Cosmetic Laser Specialist 470-277-1675 was the contact info for the rep who set up deal for my purchase of 2 lasers One an Evo 810 diode new 2016 unit, 1 year/ 5 million pulse warranty, with all attachments that come with device to use it properly as well as a Lumenis One Platform with universal handpiece, full set of filters, ND YAG, software dongly, cords etc with a 6 month warranty for parts and labor and a Dermapen with 20 tips as well as glasses, laser signs and promotional material for Evo.The total for both devices was 44,500. I made a down payment of 20K leaving 23,500 to be financed at which point Peter passes me on to: (((REDACTED))) Frontier Companies Bass Management LLC ePayment America Merchant Services Office (201)645-1226 Mobile (929)238-1673 Fax (201)591-9799 During financing part I was told my credit score was way below what I know it is and that he was trying to get things worked out. Long story short, I have not heard from either in terms of delivery, financing or what is going on after supplying all my banking info.My facility is expecting these lasers by the 11th and I can't even get a callback. I've notified my bank that I think I got ripped off big time and to work back the 20K. When I called the finance guy at one point asking about the financial stuff, he very curtly says "Don't get crazy here! We'll take care of it", and was super rude. Peter seemed very nice, but now doesn't seem to care. I called the main office today to find out serial numbers of the lasers, which I still have not received. I also asked about what kind of outlets I needed for the IPL and Sophia said I need to "google" it. I said " NO. YOU need to Google it. That's called customer service". Very frustrated and going to look pretty bad for me if these lasers are a "no-show" as well as getting my money back which my bank assures me will not be an issue, even if the guy cashed the check as the legalities could get him in huge trouble. Very frustrated and just want WHAT I was promised and on the Date it was promised 1/11/2016. At this point super disappointed and plan to contact Fl Attorney General and a possible scamming business.

Your Desired Resolution:
I want exactly what the contract promised, want to know what kind of outlet I need for the IPL and delivery by date promised. I also want a discounted price from what I was quoted related to the delay it will have in me performing treatments that would have generated revenue during the time that the lasers were supposed to be deliverd. I also want to know interest rate for the financed part which (((REDACTED))) seemed to hedge. I want to see a copy from (((REDACTED))) as to the results of my credit report HE received, as it does not coincide with any info I have about my credit score. This obviously could be a reason to crank up interest, IF I ever hear back from them.

Again, from previous reports, this company promises the moon and stars and once they get your money~poof! Still don't have other laser per purchase agreement and had to shut down business. I want my money back plus loss of revenue, plus damages for having to close my business down dur to them not delivering equipment that would have generated revenue to keep business going.

I am having continued issues with this company. I have filed complaints with the State's Atorney General as well as BBB. They are investigating the many complaints against this company at this time. I have had nothing but problems with them since purchase of lasers and would not advise anyone to purchase from them. When I initially purchased, I did not receive my lasers, until after I filed a BBB report and a complaint on here. It was only then that the company contacted me and stated that if I removed the complaint, that they would ship my lasers~extortion tactic? I finally get my lasers, 2 months after purchase, with no manuals or instruction on how to use either. The IPL laser did not work. Rep said it was the head. I sent head back to be replaced. It took another 2 months to get head back which did not work. I basically missed the season for doing laser treatments, becuase of their delay in delivery and non-working laser. I was then told to send back the entire IPL laser and that it would be replaced with a different laser which still has not happened. Rep told me the only way he would send laser, that was in purchase agreement, was if I removed my complaints with State's Attorney and BBB as I filed a new complaint for breech of contract. It is 8 months later, and I still do not have a working IPL laser in my business. The loss of revenue do to this company's breech of contract and delay in delivery in incalculable and has definetly affected my launch of a start-up aesthetic business, to the tune of possibly having to close down. I have had to reschedule IPL and probably lost numerous clients for this service, as I do not have this laser as promised. I have asked for a full refund, the laser and now the company/rep just hangs up when I call. I am hoping that the State's Attorney will compile all of the complaints and losses to consumers and file a class action lawsuit and put this company out of business for their fraudulant business dealings. I was also threatened by the first rep, when I told him I was going to refile with State's Attorney and BBB. I was told he would "come at me 10 times harder". I did/do not know if that is a personal/physical threat or a threat to say bad things about my business. He was also very rude and verbally abusive, at which time I requested a different rep, whose name is Carlos Santana? Alias? IDK, but seemed charming in the beginning, but still no IPL laser. They string you along, do not deliver what is promised and basically rip you off. Again, had I know then what I know now about this company, I never would have purchased ANYTHING from them. There are much more reputable companies out there with great BBB ratings. Do your homework before you invest in lasers, but my advice would be to stay away from this company. BTW, they keep changing their name, so be careful. I saw where one person had a loss of $250,000, but many others have lost money and usually end up in court to get what this company promises. Here is a list of consumers who have complaints: https://offleaselaserripoff.wordpress.com/complaints-2/ http://www.pissedconsumer.com/tag/off-lease-laser.html There are other complaints on here as well.

Please Remove (((REDACTED))) name from Complaint

Sat, January 09, 2016

Please remove (((REDACTED))) name from this complaint as I only recently learned that he is a third party in this and was only responsible for financing. He is not an employee of Off Lease Lasers and would not want him to appear falsely accused of something he was not a party to.

Off Lease Laser Retraction of Complaint Against Peter Gill and (((REDACTED)))

#6Author of original report

Sat, January 09, 2016

Since complaint, both parties have been in contact with me in addressing my concerns. A revised contract has been made that is very agreeable and Peter Gill has apologized for not being in communication as he was travelling. He has assured me that I will receive lasers on time as described. He spent a lot of time with me on the phone reassuring me that my concerns will/have been resolved.

(((REDACTED))) is not in partnership with the company, but rather a third party which was not understood by me during time of purchase. He had nothing to do with the 20K, but rather the financing end of residual cost of lasers.

I have spoke with both of them today and believe they are both on the up and up after speaking with them.

Should anything change during the process of purchase, I will update at that time.

Off Lease Lasers Filing Police Report, Federal Trade Commission and States's Attorney

#7Author of original report

Sat, January 09, 2016

Tried again and again to contact someone today. One phone number now not working, front desk person, who said his name was "Bearnie" stated they would be sending me an email. No email. No emails back from the rep or finance guy. I plan to send all documentation to police department tomorrow to begin an investigation for fraud regarding this company. I also intend to file a complaint with The Federal Trade Commission as well as Florida's State's Attorney especially after reading this complaint from another "customer", (victim) of Off Lease Lasers:

Complaint

I own a clinic, Aesthetic Solutions Inc. (hereafter Company) that provides cosmetic laser treatments. I was in a need to purchase a new laser hair removal unit. In June 2015 I spoke to Carlos Santana, aka Carlos Henao from Off Lease Laser( hereafter Seller), and decided to purchase The Apogee and Zimmer ( hereafter Equipment) for $27,000 for which I was required to send a bank wire in advance. I wired $27,000 to Seller on 06/30/2015 according to Purchase Agreement from 06/29/2015 by Carlos Henao (have proof from my bank). Seller confirmed that my purchased equipment will be crated and pick up was scheduled for June 8th (email evidence from Seller). Shipping was organized by Diversified Transportation Services (hereafter broker ) and was to be executed by Old Dominion (hereafter Carrier)On June 9th Seller confirmed to me that Equipment is shipped and even gave me the Load #: (1166395 with Carrier). Since that day the Carrier has attempted to pick up my equipment 3 times on 7/9, 7/10 and 7/13 and each time were given different excuses why the shipment could not be released by Seller (all documented by Carrier). Both Broker and Carrier have made several attempts to contact the Seller, but they have stopped answering the calls. I paid $27000 for Equipment and have not received anything yet. After endless excuses, promises about why the Equipment hasn't shipped yet (all documented), Seller has stopped answering calls and email all-together and has even changed its phone number listed on their website (used: XXX-XXX-XXXX , new: (XXX) XXX-XXXX Equipment which I have paid for and trying to get shipped is still listed for sale via Sellers website: http://www.cosmeticlasersonly.com/detail.php?id=XXXXXSeller Contacts as follow: Carlos Santana aka Carlos Henao, David Munoz, Stefania Henao ****@offleaselaser.com, ********@offleaselaser.com (XXX) XXX-XXXX (this comes from another website they own from which I made my initial contact)Please also see the other numerous complaints about the Seller: (((REDACTED)))(((REDACTED)))http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/off-lease-laser/-miami-fl-florida-XXXXX/off-lease-laser-david-stern-sent-my-laser-in-for-repair-owner-sold-it-to-another-custome-1199977Ferdie Patam from Diversified Transportation Services (Broker) C: XXX-XXX-XXXX can confirm the truthfulness of my complaint and supply you with the logs of the Carrier pickup attempts.I already have contacted a Law Office located in Florida to start preparing the case. I will be filing the case with our local Police Department later this week. As soon as I receive the case number I will file the complaint with Federal Trade Commission and Attorney General's office of consumer affairs in Florida.

This person's dealings with Off Lease Laser is nearly exactly what I have experienced. It's so sad to know that there are people out there who take advantage of those of us who are just trying to get equipment to make a living. It doesn't look like they resolved anything with her, so now she is 27K poorer, has to go through the hassle of trying to get her money back, not to mention the revenue she lost in the process. The sales guy was certainly a smooth talker and made me believe he was being truthful. The nicest way to put my experience with this company is that they are shady. Stay away from them and save yourself a lot of money and headache. This has been a horrible experience and has taken a huge chunk out of family budget. I don't know how I am going to pay my bills now...
