I ordered a Professional Employment Package from www.oilcareer.com on 12 November 2001, where they are meant to send your resume to 5128 oil
companies worldwide.
They guarantee to have you working within 4 weeks and an unconditional money
back guarantee within 90 days. (I have a pdf of their website 100
% money back gurantee from the time I ordered the package)
The only response I have had from them is when they received my order, resume and my US$ 597.00
It is now more than 2 YEARS later, and I have had absolutely no response from them, or any prospective employers.
I have been trying to reach them via numerous e-mails at [email protected]/ [email protected] / [email protected] , faxed them at 1-309-423-1199
and phoned and left voice messages at 1-703-972-0661.
They have never responded.
This service they claimed to offer would have been ideal for me as an Instrument Technician Contractor that relies on exposure to keep me working on offshore contracts to support my family.
I have approached the Canadian Embassy in South Africa and The Better Business Bureau in Edmonton, Canada (they forwarded my complaint to the
aforementioned company, and unfortunately did not receive any response) and I now only have a legal recourse in either getting the service or my US$ 597.00
I have also been trying to contact the owner, Mr Matt Hovila at [email protected] but have had absolutely no response.
