Evinrude Outboard (OMC) fail to back their products
After only 3years of low hour usage my 200hp evinrude outboard developed a cracked power head. The cost to repair this outboard is nearly 10,000 dollars. I feel that this a ripoff. I have followed all maintenance procedures and did nothing to cause this problem. OMC, after being notified by my marine mechanic, would not even give a discount on a replacement parts. I am sorry that I am a family man that doesn't have $10,000 to repair this outboard. I feel that evinrude outboards are not the quality product that the company advertises. I just want everyone that is thinking about purchasing an outboard to think twice about an OMC outboard.
