Omega Direct Response, First Credit Of America Repeated phone calls with hang-ups on answering machine. Scarborough Ontario
This company is making repeated phone calls to my home, leaving hang-ups on the answering machine. No-one has actually talked to them, so I attempted to call the number. There was no human answer, but a recording saying that Omega Direct Response was closed and giving their business hours. The number I called is 647-288-7824 (a Canadian number) which linked to ext. 4108; then the call transferred to the recording. I looked the company up online, and to my dismay, found numerous reports that this company is making collection phone calls for First Credit of America, acting as an agent for My Perfect Credit. There was a phone number and extension for My Perfect Credit so I called that to see if they could help me find out what the other company is up to (obviously something, or they would not continue to call).
My Perfect Credit is investigating my call, as the person I spoke with had never heard of this connection to their company. The whole mess makes me really nervous, since I wonder what exactly First Credit is trying to collect on. I have made a few late payments to creditors recently, but am caught up, so should not be receiving calls about that. I felt that this problem needed to be reported, since First Credit is reputed to be un-ethical, and agressive in their tactics.
