Omega Van Lines terrible service and overcharging Silver Springs Maryland
They took 1 month + 2 days to deliver my stuff from VA to CA.
For nearly all that time, they didn't answer the phone, return calls, or answer emails, and I didn't know where my stuff was or when it would be delivered.
The 'actual' charge was 60% higher than the estimate.
The shipping weight they told me turned out to be twice the actual weight of the items.
They lied: a recommended 'tip' of $280 was supposed to give $40 each to 4 loaders in VA and 3 deliverers in CA, but of course the 2 actual deliverers in CA saw none of the money.
Thank heavens it's over and all I need to do is finish my dispute of the charges through my Visa!!

Omega can't drive to CA

Make sure you call 1-888-DOT-SAFT to report your complaint. Although the FMCSA gave Omega an interstate license, the DOT has only granted them authority to drive within the state of Maryland. They drove your things to CA in violation of the law. Omega's DOT# is 1375059 Also, contact the American Moving & Storage Association, as Omega claims to be a member.
