One Buck Resume onebuckresume.com or resume edge Scam, charged $19.80 without permission. Craigslist Fraud! Riverside, CA Florida
I applied to a job opening on Craigslist.org. Soon after, I recieved a response from a "Joanne Whitson" who said she was interested in me but required I re-format my resume to be "roman functional." And recommended I use either onebuckresume.com or resume edge. I tried to look online to find out what roman functional means, but could not find any details about it, so I went ahead and purchased a "one buck resume" for $1. I never heard back from "Joanne Whitson" again.
Exactly 1 week after I had purchased my "one buck resume," I received a charge on my card for $19.80 from "RES SVCS 888725 MIAMI FL" I found out this is the same service that charged for my "one buck resume" and quickly went to their website to see if there was any information about subscriptions or additional fees. There is not, and I never once signed or checked off my approval for any sort of fees or subscriptions outside of the $1 for my resume.
If this happens to you, call your bank immediately and notify them so they can file a claim and reverse your charges.
