I am the original filer of this report on One Stop Motors. I must admit, that after a bit of time and a little bit of effort in getting through to Rob Wilder, owner of One Stop Motors, I explained to him that his salesman, Jim Burns and his sidekick Alise, were no more than liars who mad promises that his company could not honor. Like telling me during the sale that it only takes a week to sell a car when in reality it takes a lot longer than that. Yes, he is a slick sales guy who will say anything to make a buck, beware, do not deal with this man. I explained to Mr. Wilder that after complaining to Will in customer service and being ignored, and trying to get Jim Burns to refund my money unsuccessfully, that I changed my ad on his website to read some very unfavorable information in regard to One Stop Motors so that others reading my ad would be forewarned. It took all of about an hour to have my ad taken off the website, removed for good. And about 5 days after threatening a lawsuit for breach of contract on my original purchase of the ad, Mr. Rob Wilder called me personally on the telephone seeking an explanation of why I was doing the things I was doing in regard to his business and employees. I explained to him that although $450 was not a great deal of money, the idea of being lied to and bamboozled by a rip-off such as Jim Burns irritated me to no end and truly was not the way to do legitimate business. It was there that I was completely taken aback by Rob Wilders honesty and forthrightedness. He offered to refund my money and to replace my ad into his website for free until my vehicle sells. I just received his check and cashed it so I am pretty confident that he was sincere about trying to right the wrong that had been perpetrated against me. I deposited his check and if it bounces, I will be back here to rebutt this filing again, but if not, I must say that this was definitely handled quite well by Mr. Wilder. As for others who may have problems with One Stop Motors, I am not sure that the response will be the same, but I must say that I am impressed with Mr. Wilders concern regarding his sales people, especially Jim Burns and his lying ways. Whether or not sincere or a typical remedy for others having problems with One Stop Motors, but if this is how they handle the problems that Jim and Alise create for them, then I give Rob kudos for handling my case the way he did. Thanks again for taking the time to talk to me Rob and I hope that you have taken care of Jim Burns and Alise as they need to be taken care of.

I was at One Stop Motors for a short time. Jim Burns was one of the few who were longer term employees. Jim was successful and was making big money. He's a good talker and knew exactly how to 'suck' people into a sale. People like Burns turn me off to phone sales. Their slick and misleading way of talking can and does mislead even the most cautious consumers.

Erik, Under Nevada Law, One Stop Motors needs to have a DEALERS LICENCE for what they are doing. Here's why. As soon as they use the words "sell your vehicle", that makes them a car dealer under Nevada Law. They are not licensed as car dealers, as a matter of fact, they hold no licenses whatsoever as of the last time I checked, not even a business license. They compound this issue when they offer additional services to the sale of your vehicle such as shipping and extended warranties. Contact the Consumer Affairs Division of the NV AG's office and file a complaint on an UNLICENSED car dealer. Also file the same complaint with the division of licensing and professional regulation. You do not need a lawyer to sue them. File a small claims suit, and you will surely win without a lawyer. Any paralegal can do the filings for you for about $100. Look at all of the other posts here on ROR on One Stop Motors! Even their name suggests that they are a car dealership. You can use all of the other posts here as evidence, and you can get the personal info of the contributors with a subpoena, and have them testify as to this pattern of unethical and illegal behavior. And, they are engaging in outright fraud, as they do not have any publication that anyone reads. They place an ad on ebay and other auction sites that you could do yourself for less. They are not providing any actual service and are taking money under false pretenses. This is a FELONY in Nevada.
