Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I was "mistakenly" sent a CD from Onlingo for Spanish after ansewring a questionare. I received another CD the following month and was charged $79.95. I tried to contact to tell them I did not want it. I ended up calling 3 numbers and was put on hold for eternity, disconnected, or could not get through at all. I could not reach through there websitee. (Now they have a place to check yo cancel) but they did not then.

they billed my credit car company without my authorization .The cost for the following months also went up to 83.92. I wa never informed of the cost or even the number of cd's that would be sent. I continued to try to contact and never opened the cd's.

My credit card company said I had to cancel  it in order for them to deny the charges. I informed them that I tried. They contacted them then I told the person at Onlingo to cancel and I needed to send cd's back. She said I could not. I asked to speak to a supervisor anmd she said they didn't have one! Also she could not find my account, or any record. After searching she finally said that it had been canceled and tat was why she couldn't find it. She also said to check my "paperwork" I said I had none since they never sent anything but the cd's.

I informed her that I was sending a letter and the cd's. I sent all of them to the address she finally verified . They were unopened.

They have a "Satisfaction Guaranteed" stamp. I think not! They charged my credit card $671.36. I am unemployed and I was at that time so I certainly could not afford Spanish cd's since I am trying to buy food and pay mortgage.

Since the Onlingo employee could not find an accoubt # she said to use #478492 which I did.

This company says satisfaction guaranteed. However either they hire employees that are  incompetent , noncareing, and lazy or Onlingo is telling them  to be ignorant, or Onlingo is running an intentional scam and ripping off honest people who are already literally struggling to survive.

I sent the cd's with a Signature Confirnation , they were tracked and delivery confirmed so I know they received them. So now I owe my credit card over $600 for absolutely nothing.

I would appreciate any help. If I sound "mean"../well after all this time and effort I am frustrated and really have begun to wonder how people can sleep at night.

This is no way to run a legitimate business and I think they should have to be accountable for what they do.

Persistence pays Off

After continually contavting Onlingo I was told to fax copies of my credit card statements proving I had been charged the fees . I faxed 18 pages plus another letter . after 30 days my credit card wasrefunded for the amounts charged (minus shipping0 I was very glad since this amounted to about $689. It pays to be persistent and not backing down (and knowing how to write an effective letter) helps but being careful about anything offered as "free or introductory" is important. I know I will be more careful and look at EVERYTHING . Thank you.
