OnRebate.Com denied my $100 rebate based on the following statement: Reason for denial: In order to qualify, the name and address on the rebate form have to match the name and address on the invoice or receipt. If the information does not match we cannot process your rebate. It is important to read the terms and conditions and follow the procedures to qualify.

Conflicting Data - Rebate information does not match Invoice.

I contest that the addresses do match. I have photocopies of the documentation, right in front of me, to prove it.

Per the rebate terms here are the steps I followed:

1) I filled out my rebate form, with my personal information, and registered for an account with OnRebate.Com, while waiting for my merchandise to arrive.

2) I had the package shipped to my work address (because I receive shipments there during the day).

3) Since OnRebate has absolutely no way to change an address in their system, once a tracking number has been established, and realizing that the addresses were supposed to match, in order to meet the terms and conditions, I hand wrote the correct address on the submission form to ensure the addresses matched.

I purposely made sure the addresses matched, on the same form I signed, and included with the Original UPC and Serial Number (which they now have). OnRebate refuses to actually look at the submitted form with the address changes (and I can only assume, they're looking at the address in a computer). Customer Service has been totally unresponsive - sending form letter responses. I have made numerous attempts to talk to a live person, but to no avail.

This is such nonsense, that I can only assume OnRebate must be getting a kickback form companies for arbitrailally denying legitimate rebates, without a thourough investigation.
