Ontario Home Services Ontario Home Services are Liars and Cheats. They should change their name to Ontario Scam Services! North York Ontario
I got a call from this company. They callled to claim they are the warranty company for my furnace and wanted to book an appointment to perform a free check on my furnace to ensure it is working properly.
I didn't suspect anything and agreed for them to come out. They checked my furnace and said they had taken over the contract from the previous Company Nationwide Home Comfort and they they were no longer in business. They told me I would benefit from installing a water filter and Electronic Air Filter they told me it would not cost me anything and I would get government rebates of up to $2000. I thought great, I could really use that $2000 to help pay of some debts.
They said when their call centre calls, just agree to any charges they mention and to lie and tell the rep that the sales person was not there and had left my home. I thought that was a little strange but I went ahead with it. They also said a rebate officer would call me, telling me I would be elegible for Free Government rebates of up to $2000, they were offering less and said I would get more if I signed up to additional equipment but I said I didn't want it and agreed to the full amount. They came and installed the water filter and electronic air filter. Water filter makes the water taste and smell disgusting and now my hot water doesn't last as long as it used to.
The air filter doesn't even work, the button is on but no power.
This so called Government rebate that I was promised never came, I didn't get anything in the mail.
It was too late before I realized I was being charged for the 2 items, that is costing me ofer $100 a month and I found out it is 10 year contract and I am being charged by another company called Util-E Bill. When I called and spoke to their RUDE supervisor that I wanted to cancel and was never told about the charges, all they cared about was covering their backs and just said we have a recording of you agreeing to all the charges. They agreed to give me a reduced rates to buyout the contract but it is still high, these items costs way less than what they are offering me, they are ripping me off for crpa I probably don't even need!
I didn't even know that this company also put a Lien on my house, I only found out after consulting a lawyer!
I am extremely disgusted with their sales tactices whch I am sure they are trained to do. I have contacted a lawyer and dealing with this company, we cannot let them get away with this, I pray this company goes Bankrupt and is no longer in power.
