Complaint Review: Operation Show You Care - Las Vegas Nevada

This speaks for itself about Operation Show You Care and Greg & Jodie Goodnight. 

I have contacted the following: Clark County Courthouse, Federal Trade Commission, Nevada Attorney General's office, and the Secretary of the state of Nevada's office.  According to these sources, there are no license requirements for Business to Business telemarketing in the state of Nevada.  Therefore the allegations about me engaging in unlawful business practices are false.
  
Language??  Maybe I had a couple of misspellings on my posts.  But I sure heard some foul language when Josh Ward from Operation Show You Care called me twice at approximately 2 o'clock this morning after my original post, with calls continuing later at more appropriate hours.

I can say I've never had a customer like this (just read their post).  Being a "church going woman" as he put it doesn't necessarily say anything about a person's character.  I am by no means perfect and never claimed to be.  However, I am a Christian and strive to conduct myself and my business accordingly and with integrity.   That is the main reason I ended my relationship with this organization.

The customer who wanted a refund did not do so because of my company.  They did so because since paying their money, the venue, date, and potential headliner entertainment were changed, and they were apparently tired of all the changes.  I will not keep a commission when my customer has had to refund that money because a "sale" falls through.  That's only ethical.  As far as allegations of theft, that defamatory comment was totally unwarranted as I was unaware of this request until reading it on his rebuttal.

A word for anyone considering using a telemarketing company:  Telemarketing is very ineffective when the information changes on almost a daily basis.  If you're not ready to market your event, product, service, etc., wait until there is sufficient information to work with before beginning the campaign.

We did contract Jerree Harris, owner of Southern Marketing Solutions, to help us fundraise for our organization. And then that led into them contacting booth vendors for our concert event coming up for the troops. As for the BBQ event we had in April, it did not go quite as planned, due to the location, however the vendors thought we still did a great job, and many have signed up for the concert event and many we even gave free booths to. So if this is what Jerree Harris think con men do, she needs to spend a little more time in that church she supposedly attends, the words, lies and attacks against us are completely unfounded. She had nothing to do with the BBQ event and has no clue what really took place, she's only going by the two previous reports on here that were posted by sub-contractors here now being tracked by Nellis AFB Criminal Investigation Unit and FBI, on federal charges. 

As for Jerree Harris, she does nothing but nag you from sun up to sun down every single day, you literally can not get any of your own work done due to dealing with her all day. We have been in negotiations with several top headline entertainers and she definately knows nothing about that industy, you dont just pick up the phone and say Hi I'll take Reba, and it's done, it goes through lots of negotiations and contracts settlements, none of which she cared about it always "I need to know who it is now"  As far as relocating the event to from Sam Boyd Stadium to Silverbowl Park, that was at the suggestion of UNLV, the owner of the stadium, they were concerned about the heat due to all the asphault, and other contract issues we didn't agree on. We had acontract ready to go on Silver Bowl Park and the county sent and email wanting to limit our capacity to only 25% of our expected crowd, and the email said "Someone maight die..." I still have this email and anyone that would like to see it is more than welcome. We were advised by the county for the safety of the public and allowance of the anticipated crowd we would need to move our date into the end of August of middle of September, so we had no choice, this is not because we tried to buy more tme, this was a directive from Clark County Nevada. She think crap (as she puts it) was pushed on her.

We are by no means over our head. When she speaks of raising $50,000 for a deposit for an entertainer, these are what sponsors are called and what they are used for, she knows nothing of the business what so ever. My organization has been in business sending care packages to the troops for over seven years now, with no problems what so ever until I got involved with telephone marketeers, they are actually the lowest lifeform of people I have ever had to deal with, first here in our own office then with Jerree Harris, who works out of her house in Arkansas. So was hired on a commission basis and now says she's owed over $7000. You will see she retracted that statement if you scroll down further. I actually gave her $100 to buy a list for her to try out, never heard a word either way if it worked or not. ANYONE  wants to question what we do for the military, I beg you to come by our office, (something Jerree Harris has never done) and see our actual organization and the 100's of letters and flags that hang on our walls all sent to us from soldiers serving overseas and read their letters to us for what we do. I can prove 100% we are legitimate and do help the troops. She could care less about about doing anything but lining her pockets. In two months she brought in $775.00 and she took 50% of that, great thing I didn't agree to pay her by the hour. As for my records, my records are kept just fine, she wanted a copy of all my past clients so she could build her own database of people who give to make her pouching job much easier next year.

Today she called the two whole actual clients that she sold booths to and told them not to go to the event and ask for their money back, one agreed to continue forward the other wanted a refund, which we are issuing him, and If Jerre Harris does not return the 50% of that payment within 48 hrs, criminal charges will be filed against her personally for theft. Further more We will be filing a lawsuit against Mrs. Harris and her company as well for slander, defimation, and libel. Also Mrs. Harris presented her company as having all the proper creditials to perform phone solicitation, outside our facility. It is a serious criminal charge in the State of Nevada to solicit any residence or business without a solicitation license, and you must carry one for City of Las Vegas, City of Henderson, And Clark County, as well as carry state license, especially if you operate outside the state of Nevada. So we will be looking into filling those crimal charges as well. I do not like to speak bad about others, but I will be just sit by while some person sitting on the rear with a phone in their ear every day is going to say these things she's dead wrong about. She talks a good game, but trust me she's not worth the hastle, so far in my experience none of the phone marketers are, I would definatley stay clear of this one!!!

P.S. Love some of the language she uses above language and words and on the phone too, but she's suppose to be a great church going woman. She's just an act, I've been steady in this organization 7 years, her 6 months. She hops around from this to that, now she's trying to start off her own business, Jerree Harris, this is not the way you go about it.

I just wanted to make a clarification to my post.  Greg and I agreed upon a commission basis BUT with all of the constant changes, and time lapse associated with this event, that $7000 is the time that I and my company have spent working on this account for the past 2 1/2 months. Unfortunately these were not billable hours but this is what he would have owned me had I been charging per hour.   Also, what I said at the end of my post was MY opinion and I all I can tell you is what I experensed since I am not in Las Vagas.
