When the customer applied for membership it stated he read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions. He also had an chance to read the FAQ's before the application was submitted. How can you complain about a policy (REFUND POLICY) when you (the customer) stated you read and agreed to it before submitting the application. The terms and conditions for the free gift were also listed and could have been read well before submitting the application. It seems when people don't read (but state they did) they blame everyone else but themselves for something they authorized. To clear one thing up, It's not the owner's policy it's the companies and the customers legally binding contract that the customer stated he rtead, understood and agreed to.
