just want to tell you that Orbitz has really let me down. I am a pensioner traveling with my Grandson from Lax to Johannesburg via Istanbul on Ethiad. Due to the political unrest and riots in the country, and concern for the safety of myself and my Grandson, cancelling the flight was the best option. I called the "customer care" and just got a rote, canned answer to my query in spite of the policy on your on website"If you are canceling your ticket due to an unforeseen event, such as a medical emergency, death of immediate family member, major weather disruption, natural disaster, or government-issued travel advisory/warning, please contact Orbitz Customer Service at 1-888-656-4546. We will work with our airlines partners on your behalf and advise you of your options.

At least someone from Orbitz did respond to this report. The words were kind, but ultimate inaction. I am just one poor passenger out of $562.00, in addition to having to buy another ticket.
Is there anybody out there that can help me???
I still have hope!!!
