Oscar Losada took my money.
Oscar Losada and the Whole of Yacht direct should be out of business. A month ago i was planning to buy the Marquis 72 2016 from Oscar and Yacht Direct. So i went on and contacted him to see if i could come and see the Yacht.
I couldnt belive the ammount of rudeness i experinced there, first of i send an email and nobody responded, so after 2 days i called, when i called i spoke with Oscar and he called me of and hung up, so i called again, turns out the though i was a Telemarketer or something.
Who the hell just hangs up on a potential client because they thought for a second that they were a telemarketer.
So when we got things straight and statrted talking about the Yacht i requested that i wanted to come and see the yacht in person,to which he reluctently agreed to.I had no problem coming tommorow since i lived half an hour from the marina where the boat was.
Some we figured out the time since he was busy and a week later i was out to see the yacht. It was not in good ocndition, it was dirty, the roof was bent but there didnt seem to be any structural damage. The damage seemed to be only skin deep.
So after a bit of haggling i still wanted to take it, i said i wanted to get the boat inspected properly buy a pro he was okay with it as long as i gave him a deposit in case something breaks. That seemed normal so sure i gave it.
Then last week i got the the inspection up and running, and they found some interesteing things. Fist of the engines were damaged and needed imediate repairs, some of the electronics didnt work, there were some more minor details but non worth to mention.
So i went back to him and told him what we found, at this point i was really pissed, i went back to Oscar and i to talk to him about that, the my people estemated that i would need around $500,000 for the repairs which was bassicaly aq quarter of what the price of the Yacht was.
But i was patient, i went to Oscar and wanted him to lowwer te price of the yacht by $500,000 or there was no deal, he said he wouldnt do it and blamed my men for the damages.
At this point i had enough, i told him that the deal is of and that i wanted my deposit back, now this was not a small deposit this was a $50'000 depsit for a $2mil yacht.
At which point he refused to give me the money back and then demanded that i pay for the damages i did to the yacht.
Honestly at this point im sure he has a screw loose in his brain or something. Im not gonna go sue him because i would probably need to pay more than i will get back, but im not sure about him, he went mad how he was going to take me to court for vandalising his Yacht etc etc.
So the moral of the story is dont buy a Yacht from this man and if you do take the risk, im not joking. RECORD EVERYTHING so you have proof, you never know what this mad man could do.
