I really don't understand, why you would bother taking the time to type a complaint about a restaurant you are going to go back to anyway?

Wow, that's some story. Did you try calling the mgr from home? Try calling their Corp Headquarters and lodging a complaint with them. That would probably do some good. They might send you a coupon or gift card to go back. I've gone to Outback several times with large groups and the MGR always comes to out table just to check on things: How's your dinner? is everything okay? etc etc...
