I recommend you send them the next check certified mail, return receipt requested. At the same time, write to the District Attorney's office covering Tampa, Florida, list the checks that you sent, Check Nos, amounts, dates and advise them that these checks appear to have been stolen and you want them to investigate. You will also want to contact the Post Office that covers Tampa Florida. Advise them that the checks have been stolen. Make sure that Oxmoor House receives copies of the letters you have sent to the Postal Service and the DA's office. If at all possible, stop payment through your bank on the checks they are claiming as "lost". If necessary, and this is a real pain, close your bank account and open a new one in another bank. Keep copies of everything in case Oxmoor tries to report you as having bad credit.
