Pacific Webworks billed my credit card TWICE during the same billing period for $49.90. They were not authorized by me to do this. Until I researched them on the internet just now, I was clueless as to what they could be billing me for, or why--especially twice!

From reading other reports, it appears it may have something to do with my researching getting paid to do surveys on line--and being sent a packet about ebay from Pacific webworks, which I did not order, want, or understand how or why it came to me in the first place. I haven't called them yet, as I immediately got on line to check them out after getting my credit card bill. I will tommorrow. Apparrently, KEN BELL is the guy you want to contact at the company.

Pacific Webworks, Salt Lake City,Utah ripoff faudulent credit card billing

Pacific Webworks billed me on 3/16/07 a charge of $4.95 and on $49.90 in March, April and May30th, for a eAuction Success packet it seemed I was forced to purchase when i was trying to register with a completely unrelated company. I'm not sure, and I'm far from a computer wiz, but it seems Pacific Webworks had a page that popped up, and before I could click continue to complete my registration with the other company, forced me to choose between two options before I could move on. There was no way out, it appeared, if I wished to complete my registration with this computer survey company. The page stated there would be a ONE time billing of $39.95. I received a packet titled eAuction Success, however, reading through it indicated to me the main company behind all this was TradeWorks, and Pacific Webworks was just one of many collaborating companies involved. I disregarded the packet, did not follow through with a 'free' consultation to get my ebay business set up. And I saw no mention of being charged monthly just for recievingt the packet in the mail. After being charged on a second billing statement, I called pacific Webworks, and spoke to Aaron. He informed me there was small print on the web page about being billed monthly. (FOR WHAT? A stupid packet?) There was NO mention of this in the mailing. Aaron was a bit argumentive when I said I did not authorized use of my account for this, and wanted them to stop. After I got really pissed and swore, he said he'd cancelled my account (what account?), but I would not receive reimbursement. Fortunatley, my credit card offers protection against fraudulent charges, if I submit a dispute in writing. Someone else who filed a ripoff report mentioned Ken Bells name. When I asked Aaron for his last name, he said they weren't allowed to give last names. Ken Bell was the CEO and his last name could be given out, but he couldn't be bothered with something as menial as a billing dispute. This company needs to be stopped. If you'be been ripped off by them, submit a report.
