President Bush's new Medicare plan isn't doing so well. We just had to switch pharmacies from Walmart to CVS because every month thiers a medication that Pacificare doesn't cover the company my wife was automatically asigned to by the new medicare program. At Walmart the her insulin was $29.95 per bottle x 6 per month.

We payed a co-pay of $3 per bottle. But now they say its not in the formulary. It's Novolon N and Novolin R. But because it says Relion/Novolon N and R they say its not covered.

All day yesterday I was on the phone with different operators each saying different stories from getting a pryor authorization to just getting Walmart to get just Novolin N and R. Because of one word and it was a Walmart brand but still the same as CVS brand which will now cost $60 per bottle x 6 per month. The new plan isn't about saving money with drug costs. It's about pulling the dollar and as much as they can to the pockets of the Republican sponsors.

So if your not a Republican owned company foget it. Brooks Pharmacy is now closing in this state because the plans don't cover most of thier medications. Pacificare's 1st choice of suppliers is CVS and Walgreen. So if you were assigned to Pacificare use one of these 2 companies. It will save you alot of hassel. It should'nt be this way. But it is. I was'nt raised up this way. I can see Pacificare now one of the biggest comapanies in the healthcare collasping in the future to bankruptcy because in real life it comes down to the $1. And sooner or later congress is going to change and those on Pacificare will be dropped simply because thier predjudice against certain comapanies and medications is no longer a choice but thier forcing you to use thier medications by thier formulary which is generally higher than other pharmacies and 2nd of by forcing people to use certain medications against thier wil makes them liable for any harm that comes to any person on thier plan. So if you suffer because of thier forced plan get a lawyer and sue.

It falls under the Fair Trade act were they can not descriminate against company brands or force you to use another pharmacy and again since its forced thier assuming responsibility for your health. They've taken away your freedom to choose between what you and your doctor decide is best.
