palm harbor homes did not deliver quality promised.
we were told that the countertops were solid color all the way through, they are not, they are approximately 1/16" thick. we were told the white sink is upgraded and would not stain or chip, it has chipped and is stained in the chip. we requested vinyl windows, we got aluminum. we live in the desert and the sand blows through to our sills and throughout the house. we requested a gas dryer, we got electric, they are supposed to be changing it out but, 3 months later we are still using the electric dryer. we requested and were told that we would get solid wood cabinets, they are solid wood facing. instead of making the joints the meet, they heavily caulked them. the top trim on the skirting has 1/4 to 3/4 inch gaps, we were told by the contractor that that is how it is done. palm harbor told me 1 month ago they would take care of it, i am still waiting.
my experience with palm harbor has been extremely frustrating. i would not buy or recommend this company to anyone.
