Palmetto Shores Resort Unsafe Unclean Uninhabitable Dont stay here myrtle beach, South Carolina
We are seniors who stayed at this 'hotel' in the month of march. We were told we would have an oceanfront room and kitchen. Husband is an insulin diabetic who requires a refrigerator.
Upon arrival no refrigerator. Construction noise continued nonstop for the entire month of march. Shower was always either ice cold water or would turn scalding hot.
Workmen tried to come into our room without our permission saying they didnt know anyone was staying there! Sandblasting and plaster were all over the place including our hair when we walked outside.
We were moved to another room after a few weeks, and dealt with a roach problem. There was sand in the beds under the blankets. We were bitten by some kind of bugs on our legs in the room on those beds.
Spoke to two separate managers of the hotel, who were passive and apathetic to all the issues. The entire experience was a disaster and a nitemare. We are not nitpicky people as seniors, but we were treated like animals and a prison cell would have been safer than staying at this hotel.
