NOW TO THE ORIGINAL REPORT THAT WAS FILED =====================
Park West Gallery ripoff Southfield Michigan
We purchased a work of art and one animation (hand signed by Hanna-Barbera)while on a cruise in May, 2004. Both pieces were purchased using our "SeaPass".
The art work was delivered in approximately 8 weeks. No problem. The hand signed animation has not been delivered yet and in a discussion today, appears it is no longer available.
In 4 different phone calls over the past month, I have been told it's in "shipping"; "framing"; and now they have no idea, but have today offered they are looking for a replacement in Florida, or, I may be able to get a "credit" towards another selection.
I paid for a specific piece and expected to receive that specific piece in a timely fashion. Not to hear, over 10 weeks later, they do not have the piece.
My suggestion to anyone considering purchase of art work on cruises is to be VERY cautious. Park West customer service leaves ALOT to be desired. A good portion of Park Wests' art cannot be removed by the consumer from the ship and you are therefore at the mercy of their "shipping" department and questionable customer service.
At this point I do not expect to see the animation I purchased or the money I paid for it, without a significant legal battle.
