It took me almost a full year to commit, or rather be convinced that I should buy a vending route from Paul. More time with the kids, less stress, Blaa Blaa. "Local owner operator is dow sizing". He is so good at his story. His lies are so convincing. Right out of the movies. So I buy this business.

FIRST thing. It had to be all cash! No finance, no 2 months, no 2 weeks, no 2 minuts! CASH. That was mistake one. Next I notice that the sales are not even close to what Paul claimed. At the first couple locations I went to they were as if there was no one there! I call him immediatly...then to my plesent surprise the next few vending stops I went to the sales were prtty good. A little higher then what was stated.

No problem, its OK im just nervous and he sales will "balance" out between all locations. So I get to my last stop for that day. Someone tells me that the "regular" guy was in just an hour before! He told them (the location) that he was collecting money before the new owner took over. But there was lots of money in the coin collection can already... well its not hard to figure out what was going on!

After that first day I tried to get my money back. I talk to a lawyer. Not enough paper to make a case

Days later, machines start breaking down. Well at least the machines were garenteed for 30 days. But it takees days and days to get them fixed by Pauls "network" of repair people. Sometimes weeks. They never did get fixed properly then 30 days are over. Then...$1000s of dollars in repair bills!

I keep working, Im doing everything to try to make my customers happy and improve the sales - if the sales even did half of what I was told that would be liveable...

Two months go by I find out Paul has returned to visit my vending locations, the ones he sold to me, and has tried to solicit their business back! So I confront Paul. He says it is a fair market and he can do as he likes!

I call the police - Fraud guys. Nothing they can do, nothing they can say. but then after talking to him for quite some time he tells me, "its not the first complaint we have had about the subject person [Paul Girodat]". WHAT! I get a little angree...He tells me, kinda off the record, there is a "soft" investigation ongoing regarding similar matters and he [Paul Girodat] is a person if interest. So my guess is tax evation and fraud.

I have been witness to many situations in which Paul Girodat has sold "vending route" to people that have no business getting involved and have lost a great deal of money. Paul will Lie, cheat and steal to make any money that he can. I know that he has "scamed" 20-30 people in that last 10 years. When will people wake up and stop listening to him?

I recently came across this ripoff report about paul girodat and I thought I needed to add what I know about him and his bussiness dealings with others in the vending industry and those who are new to it.

I have run a vending businees for over 10 years now and have heard counless bad reports about paul girodat and how he has taken advantage of many in our industry. Almost all vendors in southern ontario know who he is and what he is all about. However people who are new to the business often do not know this... and learn the hard way.

Before I get into details, I want any who are reading this to know that %90 of vending routes that get sold are sold for Only The Cost Of Current Equipment Onhand At The Accounts For Sale ..... I can't stress this point enough! Only very large routes ( routes that generate over 125K a year profit ) are  those that will merit more money in the deal over the value of equipment.

That being the case, others may sell route for more.... but that would not be a bad buy. Consider how long you will have to work for free before you will see profit!

Now that I have spelled that out for those who do not know this, I will add what I know to be true about Paul Girodat.

One good freind of mine got into the vending business years ago and has since left the industry. He bought a route from Paul and like the others have reported here, he contacted all of the accounts that sold to them, and tried to resell them to a new vendor .... or in this case the next sucker.

An other direct account from an other vendor that I know and trust that I can relate is a vendor that contacted paul about a route that he had for sale. He in short order found out form one of the accounts just before he signed up with paul, that paul would bring in a new vendor about every year or so.... he confronted paul about it and paul denied it and would not stop " quoting the bible and billy Gram" It's funny because I looked at the other report about Paul On Ripoff report and in his reply he quoted billy gram.

I have talked to paul on the phone, he continually trys to get my business and I won't have anything to do with him because of about the 10 or so reports I have heard from others in the business. I only included these 2 because I know them personally, I know they are honest business people and I trust them. It is sad to hear that more and more are being taken advantage of by this man.

Never purchase a route for cash, ask for all the paperwork to back up profit claims made, never pay more than value of equipment ( ask brokerhouse or kanes vending about honest value of equipment they are the 2 largest suppliers of new and used vending equipment in ontario ) and make sure that the person signs a contract that will insure that they will not contact your accounts again. Also don't be fooled into thinking that this is a secret business that will make you rich.... it Rarely does.

I'm sure paul will reply to this report and claim that it is false, but I urge you to listen to all of those who have been wronged and taken advantage of by him.

Don't make the mistake others have!
