I spoke with a representative at IntegralNet which does billing services for adult websites. I explained that the charge on my card was not approved, and that the websites Integral serves expressly allow a user to opt out of membership renewal.
After entering a credit card number for a 3 day free trial, a user is presented with several pre-checked boxes that, if left checked, automatically renew membership following the 3 day trial. Despite unchecking these boxes prior to submitting my request, my card was charged.
