I rented a car from Payless rental company. I arrived 45 minutes early and they informed me that it was company policy that I wait 45 minutes until the time that I had rented the car. I hung out for 45 minutes even though they had a car to rent me in the lot they said they had to follow company policy. Then when I was taking car of my baby, my husabnd was checking us in. They required that he go get me to check us in. Then I said my husabnd was going to be the primary driver.
They said they coukd not change the reservation but needed to charge us $70 extra to ad his name. Then a new company policy says you have to present a utility bill in the last 30 days. Our tuilities bills get sent to our email and are connect to our PO box so they do not show a physical adddress so they would not rent the car to me even though I had my government issued license.
I said that was fine, I just needed them to refund my money and they would not do it. I spoke to customer service and they would not refund the money even though they did not give me a car to drive. They escalated the issue and a 3rd person at the company said they would not refund my money, Just look at all the reviews on google and yelp and you will see that this company is a complete scam. At this point, I am out the money from a 7 day car rental but I will pursue getting my money back as it is wrong for them to scam people.
