Just to add to the numerous complaints about paypal : Here is mine....

I started selling on ebay about 2 months ago , I sold cell phones and got 10 positive feedback on ebay (go ahead and look (Aphoneforyou ebay id), Paypal called to ask where I got my phones from, 2 days later they limted my account asking for more verification info, i sent all info in ie. utility bill showing residence, cc statement, crives lic. etc.

To date my acccount is still locked with over 300.00 in it, NOT ONE BUYER HAD COMPLAINED TO EBAY OR PAYPAL ABOUT NOT REC any item or any other negative comment.

I believe paypal will lock anyones account to gain interest on that accounts money or just to steal that persons fund.

Keep in mind you ahve JUST as much consumer protection when buying off ebay if you go to your bank and purchase a money order etc with YOUR CREDIT CARD, as it is your credit cards policy that defines your protections. If you do not rec your goods or feel ripped off simply notify the credit card comapny and they will investigate. AVOID PAYPAL AT ALL COST!!

Paul, an easy way to eliminate this problem.

Paul, Get your own merchant account where you can accept all credit cards and electronic checks. They are now very easy to get, and CHEAPER and SAFER than PayPal. As you probably found out, PayPal is NOT FDIC insured, nor are they regulated as a bank is. Therefore, you should never use paypal with more money than you can afford to lose. Cell phones are a RED FLAG on ebay as it is a high theft/fraud item. Unless you can show legal ownership/proof of payment for the phones you sold, you most likely will not get your money back. Good luck.

Clearly a competitor causing issues.

That is why you were asked where you got the phones from. Someone alleged you were selling stolen merchandise. While I don't agree with PayPal's actions here, they froze the account due to suspicious activity-warranted or not. Not to make some kind of mythical money off interest.
