Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Each and every RipOff Report you read is nearly word-for-word my experience. I received their solicitation in early November. Called, approved for an account. Little did I know, that IF you research and look at their products.... Guess what? Look and try to find specific model numbers for their products. Generally, you CANNOT find one. So, I blindly ordered a laptop. Of course, after four weeks passed, Christmas passes, and NOBODY on their -and I use this term loosely - "customer service" number would or could tell me anything... They all told me they cannot tell anything specific about the order -except that I will, eventually, receive it. Intrigued, I decided to wait this out. In the mean time, GEMoney Bank sends me TWO monthly billing invoices as, of course, being the ridiculous company they are, Peach Direct BILLS your merchandise -and you pay over a month, or two or even three, as I did -of interest accruing - and I have to make payments ON MERCHANDISE I HAVE YET TO EVEN SEE!

THREE MONTHS later, out of the blue, arrives two seperate UPS boxes (and a few days later, a USB Cable via US Postal Service) and in it is my laptop. I'm FINALLY done, right? WRONG. VERY WRONG.

Since I was ignorant, and Peach Direct WILL NOT give you the model number of their merchandise, I was UNABLE to research the laptop and do anything, compare prices or see how current the technology is. Well,,,, the laptop I receive is TWO YEARS OLD, yes, I DID say TWO FULL YEARS. I discovered this when I called HP for technical support two days after I got it. They informed me that the MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY is OVER ONE FULL YEARS EXPIRED and of no use. Researching the HP Laptop over the internet, I found that these laptops were sold TWO years ago, and NO MERCHANT even sold them any longer. Obviously, Peach Direct deals in OUT OF DATE and OVERSTOCK / OUTDATED technology -which YOU, the purchaser, PAY A PREMIUM for.

Think I am done? NOPE. Peach Direct ALSO charged me $97.00 for a "warranty" (which I NEVER agreed to) for this laptop that HAD ALREADY EXPIRED UNDER THE MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY! AND you would then think this is "easy" to dispute with GE Money bank, right? Call GE sometime, IF you can understand them, IT IS NOT easy to dispute and I am STILL TRYING to get that charge OFF my bill!

DONE NOW? NO. I was to receive a fifty dollar rebate. HOWEVER, Peach Direct mails me the rebate forms and receipt TWO MONTHS TOO LATE and the rebate is then worthless. Like the rebate was for november through January 15th. I receive the rebate and receipt information in this month, February, and it clearly states I had to have a purchase in those dates AND the letter postmarked long before today.

WARN EVERYONE about this company. Please. File with the BBB. File with the FTC. DO NOT - please be smart - get taken like we all have by this "company".

I have ordered & got w/in 2-3 weeks, 2 tvs, an ipod, dvd player & a GPS. No problems whatsoever. But I did have an order of 2 tvs and after 4 weeks nobody new why I didn't get them, so I cancelled the order, which went fine. After a few more weeks I got a letter from pd stating those tv's were no longer available & I could order next step up at the same price. I am happy (so far) with pd. It seems each time I order, the process get a little faster. You have to remember pd is just a middle man, your items come directly from whoever made the product, your sony comes from sony, so pd has no idea when it will be shipped. Just want to say there are some people that have gotten their items.

My Experience Was Amazing!!

Shortly after placing my order with Peach Direct I realized that at the bottom of the website it says orders could take 2 to 4 weeks. I became worried as I was moving in a week and a half so I googled Peach Direct in an attempt to find reviews and hopefully find out that like most companies that was just a standard line and infact it generally shipped out faster. Instead I came across a ton of negative reviews, some saying that it took months to get their items, some saying their items were received but in bad condition or not as described on the site. Then I stumbled across 3 or so good reviews in the mess of all the bad ones. All saying that they had dealt with one of the customer service reps whose name is Dean Kim. So I contacted him with the email these reviews listed hoping that he could resolve my concerns. I wasn't really expecting much, I've dealt with horrible customer service reps my whole life but, to sum up, Dean was amazing. He expedited my order in an attempt to get it to me before I moved and when one item didn't go out with 2 day like it was suppose he worked hard and spent time on the phone with UPS to find the best solution for me to get my package. Dean had to do a lot to accommodate my stupidity of not considering my move before I place my order and in the end I got my items on time and in the exact condition you'd expect them to be in. Everything was correct, everything was included. While those negative reviews may have been true in the past they certainly aren't true now and it apears to me that Peach Direct is taking steps every day to improve their system. They also have the best customer support rep I ever seen in my life, and I've seen A LOT. If you are having problems with Peach Direct for whatever reason contact Dean Kim at [email protected]. Not only did he respond to all my emails extremely quickly but he made phone calls in an attempt to help me sooner and anytime he said he'd call you back, he did. I have never seen any rep do that before. He is truly the best rep you could ever possibly find and I encourage you to contact him if you ANY problems at all. In short, Peach Direct is great and Dean Kim is one of the most helpful customer service reps you could hope for. I'll be ordering from them again just because of him!

It's still very simple despite a retiree's time to sit all day in between pruning bushes and vacuuming the conservatory. PeachDirect ripped me OFF. To update my original post, dear retiree, I DID write, E-mail AND CALL several "customer service" reps. who left information all over several postings on this website and others -all resulting in NO replies or help. I do believe those names and E-mail addresses were garbage - not one live human ever responded. However, you already judged me and "just KNEW" I never tried to write them. I also tried -in vain - to legitimately dispute this with GEMoney Bank..... Again, no help. The dispute was closed with PeachDirect being allowed to keep the money they billed me and I having to pay it. But, of course, PD is that bank's customer, I am just loose change to them. Good to know as I will never give them another dollar of business with any account they service ever again. So, the bottom line is clear: I was ripped off. So I posted here. If your experience was so great, WHY are you reading and posting in a rip-off report? I don't get it. They are terrible, I got ripped, I will tell everyone - end of discussion.

A Satisfied Peach Direct Customer

I found this link while looking for Peach Directs website.Reading the complaint,I wonder why the consumer didn't do any research before buy the laptop. If you bought anything blindly I suppose you really don't understand buying from a catalog company. They buy in bulk and sometimes run out of stock, you yourself said it was near Christmas time.I waited for my laptop also,if I wanted it fast I would have gone into a store and then again I may have had to wait if it wasn't in stock there. It didn't come with a manual, but I went into the website and I can find what I need, theres nothing hard about that.I wasn't satisfied with the warrenty and I was given credit right away ,plus I couldn't find the rebate link at that time and I was given my rebate from PeachDirect right away over the phone. The best thing about my experience was,I talked to an American, here in America wow what a difference to understand and get professional customer service.Maybe it's because I'm a grown woman and I can do research on what I plan to buy before I buy it.And instead of whining online,I took the time to e mail DKim and give them a chance to fix the problem.I also think people should remember that all companies have competitors, and I doubt this website can really check to see if many compliants are real and where they come from.I'm a retired and have the time to do research, but all you need to do is Google what your planning to buy, check out more then one place.Call the company and ask questions before you buy(like the model number),and take notes. With Peach Direct,I'm the one who should have confirmed what I was buying in the warrenty by asking questions, and I was told the laptop was on back order.I love my laptop and I haven't seen one like it anywhere else. When I need a new desktop,it will be thru Peach Direct. And I have never recieved better customer service anywhere these days the Peach Direct.Kudos!!
