Pennzoil 10 Minute Oil Change ,Quick Lube Of San Rafael And Santa Rosa, Oil change negligence - failed to properly install the oil filter cap!! San Francisco, Novato, San Rafael, Santa Rosa California
Our vehicle just stopped on the freeway, and was towed to our dealership mechanic. After careful investigation, the mechanic informed my husband that this was a direct result of oil filter cap not being installed properly during the oil change. The oil filter cap was loose, so the oil was getting out into the engine, which has caused the complete engine failure.
The cost of fixing this damage $11,500. The company has refused to speak to me, let alone to lead negotiations to figure out some kind of middle ground for taking care of this problem.
The oil was leaking out after the previous oil change as well. We took our car to Pennzoil specifically for this leak to be fixed right after we noticed it. This was also the time when a subsequent oil change took place. Pennzoil charged us over $300.00 to fix the problem that was caused by them to begin with. So we assumed it was fixed and the oil change was done properly the second time. SURPRISE, SURPRISE!!!!
DO NOT EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES go to Pennzoil 10 Minute oil change. Because they try to do it quickly, they DO NOT do it properly!!! The number of incidents such as the one discussed above is substantial. Even if you have a gun to your head, just give that person $10,000 bucks - I promise it will be a better deal for you - cheaper and less hassle and nerve wrecking involved!!!!!
