PepBoys ripoff, good at what they do rip you off Bloomington Indiana
1. They did a basic preventive maint. pkg which I did not authorize, had rotate tires included but when I got it home one of the tires only had 20lbs of air. But had a big list of things they wanted to repair to it.
2. I took my truck in for the following things to be done, change oil in both differentials, transmission, and pack the front wheel bearings. They give a two hours time for it to be done I was there for seven hours. The mach. put the bearings back wrong and lost the brake pedal said I needed new calp. I started getting concerned becuase I had good brakes. The calp. did not fix the problem so I told them to put my truck back together and I would have it towed to a mach who good fix it. They got one of their other mach to fix it and charged me labor to fix the first mach. mistake.
3. I had them preform an AC check they said it come back all ok except it needed freon. To have it charged would be 160.00 I thought it was too much so I did not have it done. I took it to another place to have the ac charged and the compressor was not even working, I guess pep boys wanted to stick it to me again if I let them charge it.
4. The total bill for their service was 415.69 but I refuse to pay for the other mach. service charge to fix the problem so they did knock it off.
