Obviously you have your head where the sun doesn't shine! If your company displays an ASE sign you better believe I want an ASE qaulified person working on my car, not some idiot that you tell how to do something, and then can't do it or doesn't have the cognitive ability to remember what he is doing. I have seen your kind wearing blinders to what is happening to the customers car. Get the money! DON'T misrepresent yourself by having unqualified personel working on our vehicles. If I'm paying you 70 dollars an hour to work on my car, yes I wan't a qualifed person working on it. On that same point if you are charging a market premium 70 dollars an hour, why are you letting people not qualifed work on these vehicles? I think I know the answer, you are just greedy! You don't have to pay the unqualifed idiot much money!

The person can report what he wants to, it is his right. But stop and think . . he still works there. Must not bother him much to take your money as he claims. His report to you is true in some respects but also very misleading. Yes Pepboys is out to make a profit. Every business is. I have worked for 4 different stores and have never witness any job being performed by a person without the proper training. It doesnt take an ASE trained or certified technician to do a transmission fluid flush, once the machine is connected most of the work is done automatically by the machine. Now he is correct, the damage should have been reported to the customer, it is required by company policy to do so, that manager was wrong. As for customer complaints, every business has complaints, even those that can not be resolved satifactorily to the customer. Even the individual from the other tire store. It wouldnt surprise me if an unhappy customer left his location and went to Pepboys!

I agree with 100%. I work a tire co. that has 500 store nationwide and I get employees from Pep Boys buying tires from us for their personal cars. I asked one of the employees why they dont buy tire were they work. I thought the employee was going to response, they are expensive or they cannot get the brand of tire they want, the response was, "I dont let those yahoos touch my car because they dont know what their doing". This employee has worked for Pep Boys for 3 years. Also, I get customers in to our store complaining about Pep Boys that they dont care of they're customers. That's to bad. I hope they continue giving poor service to they're cust. Because I will take they're cust any time. I've learned that if you take care of the cust they will tell others about the great experience they had and I bet that their family and friends will come. I get a lot of cust thet have been recommended. If you take care of the cust the money will come in naturally and get good bonuses, with out working hard for it.
