Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Perennial Care is not a major medical health insurance carrier.  They contacted me via a broker.  He assured me I could save 1000.00 which is important becuse I lost my job in November.  The charge was 395.00/month for 3 of us.  The broker also told me that there was no deductible and even if something happened to anyone in my family i.e. broken arm, everything would be covered.  I received the crds in the mail (very stran.  ge cards very decorative) and assumed I was ok.  They chrged my account to my credit card.  I was told I would receive a monthly bill.

After some research it appeared this is not a medical insurance it is a preventive service (I think).  Medical is not covered.  Furthermore, the best part is, they continued to charge my credit card automatically for 2 more months.  I called them and finally got a hold of customer service after waiting for 5 minutes.  She told me they were paperless and I agreed to have this charged to my card via their recording.  I told her that I was specifically told I would receive a bill and could cancel at anytime.  She said no refund I should have cancelled on their website.  She said she would cancel my membership going forward.

Asked for a supervisor which told me the same thing only that when she looked me up in their system, they still had not cancelled my membership but would then do so via a recording.  In the interim assuming I would not be automatically charged, I assumed I would not owe them and went with a legitimate carrier.  So I have no job, and have been paying for duplicate carriers with the refund from their unworthy association or whatever it is they do.  Thank goodness I was not in need of their so called services.  I am still pusuing a refund for the 800.00 dollars and its a crime that they are misinforming people in need.  The broker by the way was also rude.  I should have known you don't get something for nothing.

Dear  CJ,

Unified Caring Association (UCA) is dedicated to total client satisfaction and we deeply regret that you do not feel that you received the appropriate service.  Feeling good about what you purchased is our highest priority and we apologize that this has not been achieved.  We strive to exceed expectations with our customers.  As a policy and in practice, The UCA is committed to addressing and resolving all issues.

For your understanding, association memberships are sold by independent licensed agents. Memberships contain various consumer savings benefits including both insurance and non-insurance benefits. Members are emailed a fulfillment email outlining the log on process to view their membership materials immediately upon joining the association. They are informed during the enrollment process that the insurance benefits included in the association membership are not Major Medical. In addition, the brochure and the membership packet states that the insurance benefits are not major medical. Association members also have a 30-day cancellation period during which members may call and cancel and receive a full refund.

Once again, we are disappointed that you were not content with the membership benefits that you purchased. Please contact customer service at (855)556-5053, so that we can assist you in this matter and hopefully find the perfect solution.

Sincerely,

Regina Schreiner
