That was the email that this Company sent to me when I placed the order of their product (August 15 th.,2009) An amount of $79.90 was charged from them. Last night (August 18th.) I was using my computer and suddenly the Personal Antivirus disappeared from the toolbar, I shut down my computer and turned it on again and it didn't even appeared at the Start Up. I tried to open it at All Programs but I couldn't either. I haven't uninstalled it, it just disappeared!!! I already sent them 2 emails and called them leaving a message and they haven't answered yet. I just want my money back, I DON'T WANT THEIR PRODUCT. Seems like a fraud to me. I hope you can do something about it. Thanks!

Good news and bad news.

Aidza,

The good news is that your computer is not infected with any Trojans (except for the malicious warnings that this 'software' is issuing). The bad news is that you have been ripped off for $80. You received a malicious program via the internet that creates 'virus alert' popups that entice you to purchase bogus anti-virus software (ie Personal Antivirus).

There is a way to clean off your computer. Google the phrase 'personal antivirus removal guide'. Choose the link that goes to the Geek Police website (it's usually in the top 5 results) and follow the instructions to download Malwarebyte's Anti-malware removal tool (and update it as soon as you install it). This will rid your computer of the malicious programs. It's also a good idea to run this program every month to keep your computer clean.

I also HIGHLY suggest that you cancel the card that you made this purchase on. They have your banking/CC information now. No telling what else they'll charge to it.

Good luck!
