BELOW IS A WARNING!!! AVOID!!! BENGAL KITTEN SCAM!!!

this is a current advert on Classifieds.co.uk called The Best Bengal Kittens In The United Kingdom and the supposed owner [email protected] does not exist. If you fall for this you will never see the animals or you're money again.

[email protected] is a con artist

We have had a heart breaking couple of months. After 16 years i had to leave my Birmin cat with my parents when i moved out of the area. We started searching for a kitten after we had settled in our new place. We fell in love with the bengal breed and were sure this was the kitten for us.

It took months and months of searching, breeders messing us around, not getting in touch and selling kittens reserved in our name to their friends.

When we came across and advert on the internet. It was on classifieds.co.uk and it was named THE BEST BENGALS IN THE UK. It was listed as location - longhill, north east which was perfect for us. I thought i'd enquire and see if the breeder had any kittens at the moment or was expecting any in the near future. They replied first thing to say 'she' had many kittens all 11 or 12 weeks of age. Ready now, fully vaccinated, full pedigree came with all health papers and 1 years insurance. 'She' didnt want any money as long as they went to loving homes. The only clause was she was currently in Fort William, Scotland for work purposes. 'She worked' as a patron for st. peters orphanage centre. Apparently the conditions were not fair on her 'babies' and she wanted them relocated asap. But for 170 'she' would send them via courier.

We thought this was amazing to get a Bengal kitten for this price, especially from the photo's advertised they had a really strong rosette print on their coat. 'She' asked lots of personal questions would we care for her babies, would her babies be spoilt ...After answering her questions and proving ourselves also telling her the trouble we had trying to get a kitten she agreed to us taking her 'baby'. On a later email Then offered us a female aswell if we paid a little extra for a health check. After all the months of waiting this was too good to turn down. So we agreed to take both the male and female kitten as she didnt want her babies split up.

The next day she sent us pics and a detailed email stating we could pay cash on delivery. The pictures were amazing and the kittens were really cute, we instantly fell in love and could not wait for the the next morning when the delivery service would call us to confirm our address.

Sure enough 'a delivery service' rang us. It was a rather rude indian gentleman on the phone. he told us to have a pen and paper ready. Then told us these were the details for the payment. He told us to go to the Post Office and send a MONEYGRAM. He told us to ask for an international sending form and told us we needed to send the money to:

name: roland neba n

account: cameroon

city: victoria

zip code: 00237

security question: Who

security answer: Mother

He also stated we would be asked who we were sending the money to and why. He told us to say we were sending the money to 'our mother' and if they asked us why 'because she needed it' Straight away we knew there was something wrong. If this was a legitimate company why would we have to lie about who we were sending our money to? He also stated we had to go to the post office right away to set this up and asked how long it would take us to do this as they could not send the 'kittens' with out a reference from the moneygram. We continued to take the details but were not happy as we thought we were paying cash on delivery. And when the suggestion of another well known payment transfer service came up they started to talk really fast making excuses about tax.

We had never heard of this moneygram and thought we would run it through google before making our way to the post office. The first thing that came up was more than one site claiming fraud, and pet scams, people losing money to scams in cameroon, the same details came up over and over again the name matched the zip code matched. We knew right away not to trust it.

The same man called again 10 minutes later and was quite annoyed when he found out we hadn't made they payment yet. He started to try to rush us i felt like he was being a bit strong with me so handed the phone to my partner. My partner wanted a name for the company and he kept on trying to avoid answering just saying "this is the delivery service" We were not happy and said we werent doing anything until we knew about the company. He stated it was an american based company yet the payment had to be sent to their head office in cameroon. He still would not give us a company name so we asked for a contact number for the lady who we were meant to be getting the kittens off. He gave us 'Mr Niti's number and stated he was having trouble geting through to him himself. We could not hear this Man as at first it was office sound effects now all we could hear was loud car horns. We told him we could not understand so he hung up.

When we called the so called Mr Niti his phone had an answer message saying it was only taking calls from within the UK. We could not understand this as we were clearly in England? WTF?

Anyway the man from the courier service called again and again demanding money we told him no we were not interested we were not going to give them any money and we did not want the kittens from them if they even existed.

It has been about 6 hours quiet then just checked my emails and i have been bombarded with emails claiming to be the owner of the kittens asking what the problem was and why we have not paid. It was only then it fell in to place. The writer of the email had the same grammer as the supposed delivery driver. Even in the emails they were repeating the word ok after every sentance just like when we had previously spoken. My partner has worked in IT and he later noticed when i showed him the letters all emails are mail-merged, they only change the location, email, and name of the owner each time and you can tell this by looking at the font very very closely. We have replied saying they will not get our money and we want no further contact with them so lets just see how long it will last. So Please Avoid Ok (lol).

I am just grateful for these websites as they warned us early enough before we handed any money over. So Thankyou to Everyone who reported these.

We have a direct phone number to the 'delivery company' incase anyone else has been affected by this scam. Just contact us.

words to look out for:
