Pinnacle Foods Armor Plastic Found in Vienna Sausages, Internet

My 11 year old son found a piece of 2 inch blue and clear plastic in his can of Vienna Sausages. I called the company and they admitted it was the casings that they use and were suppose to take off before shipping. They want me to send it back to them with nothing in writing. If I send it back I have no proof. They insist it is food grade material and it won't hurt you but they don't get it...IT WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE THERE!!!
