Pipeline Data Processing is ripping us off!

Pipeline Data Processing is charging a $150 ANNUAL PCI Compliance fee and another $20.00 per month if we dont go online to Pipeline Data Processing web site and say "Yes we will not leave creadit card information in the street with the door open". I'm kidding about the question, but the Pipeline Data Processing compliance "quiz" is THAT stupid and the Pipeline Data Processing fee is strictly a new profit center and/or to cushion them when they get fined by the credit card companies for losing data AGAIN!

Pipeline Data Processing is screwing the merchant. This is not the first scam fee they have tried hitting us with. Pipeline Data Processing should be forced to refund this fee.

By the way, they charged us on Dec 1 and notified by email on Dec. 2 which is also the same day the letter arrived so this Pipeline Data Processing fee is impossible to block. This is hit and run ripoff tactics plain and simple.

Pipeline Data Processing Inc. is ripping the public off and eveyone should stay away from them. We will most likely cancel our account tomorrow once we talk to them.

FYI - We use another company and their pci compliance fee is only $30 per year. Still stupid but you can see the ripoff potential Pipeline Data Processing is hitting people with.

These fees should be reclaimed through a class action lawsuit and the companies fined heavily for this total SCAM.

PIPELINE DATA is also our processor and they also took $150 directly from our account on 12/19/2008 without any notice or warning. In our case, we did not receive a letter or an email and when asked for copies, we were sent a generic, undated letter without our name on it. Yet, they consider it a fair warning! When called their customer support (if you can call it that), they were so unreasonable, rude, and unresponsive that I am amazed what is keeping them in business? Fortunately for us, we called Paynet System that sold us the account (it looks like they are the reseller company for PIPELINE DATA). Their sales team were amazed at out story and promised to take care of it. They called us back in less than an hour and told us that charge does not apply to us and it will be reveresed (has not happened yet, but much better than PIPELINE DATA's response of 'go to hell'). I will post an update if/when we get refunded. I did researched Paynet System and found nothing bad on them, however, I wish I knew about PIPELINE DATA before we signed a six month contract. Last time I checked we were in a free market economy. As consumers, our best response it to take our business somewhere else. From a Merchant new to this game, S.D., Maryland
