They are back with new NAME.

I was contacted by PTG Studios inregard to some kind of TV appearance? I was suspicious and did a little search on the company. Could not find anything. Then I did a search on the yellow pages with one of the phone no. the had emailed me and it came up Platinum Television Group.

Then I searched for them on the internet and came to this site. Read all that was said about the $20,000 investments required and thought I should ask them right away. Is this the proposal were I must come up with $20,000 to participate if so cancel my phone meeting and she emailed back right away and said she would cancel. SO I took that as a yes.

I guess all the bad reports from this site they decided to start fresh with new name and web site. The web site www.ptgstudios.com is brand new and only been up since Oct 2006

So beware. If someone contacts you from PTG Studios please read all the complaints on Platinum Television Group first.

Be very careful people, Mr Scott with Platinum Television Group/New Line Media Solutions is now trying another name for the same old scam. Beware of " Encore TV" with the website: encoretvgroup Same ripoff, same people, pretty much the same shows. These people have so many names, the now answer the telephone by simply saying "Studio". Be afraid, be very afraid. They could call you next.

I have checked on this company and they do misrepresent who they are. They do research on you before making contact and try to make you think they are doing a 'segment' on something that relates to your business. However, I asked them if fees were involved and they did tell me their fees; between 20-30k. However, I did not like what I saw on the broward county website. When they contacted me back as a follow up, the individual acted like all of these reports on this site were a hoax. I simply asked if the lawsuits on public file were a hoax too. I sure am glad this report has helped us from making a 'Bad Call'.

The problem with Chuck's answer to all of this is that this company, and it's other entities, sell all of this as a production of a particular network. They never mention that they are working as an advertiser, or purchasing airtime. So, one ends up thinking that he or she is buying rights to re-use a "Travel Channel" show, or a regular CNN show, with a credible sounding name, but they might be getting middle of the night time, on an infomercial, that is between network spots. If PTG were simply selling this as advertising, businesses would be able to easily weigh the expenditure over the outcome; however, they deceive the business into thinking that they are buying into legitimate, national or international, syndicated television show. They actually told us that the "chosen market" spots were for additional program marketing. This is all part of their expense and the consumer is just paying for rights for future use. One of the ways they are using to get out of being truthful is a disclaimer that says they are not affiliated with the network. Almost all cable television shows are just ordered by the network, just like any company would do with an outside contracted service or supply. It's an absolute scam. The best solution is to make a written complaint with the Attorney General of the State of Florida. They are already familiar with this company, so anything in writing is great for them. Another solution is to contact an attorney who has been working on several of these cases. You can find his name by looking at all the cases on the Dade County Court website. He's handled several and is involved in a case right now. Good luck to you. These people are the slickest kind of scam artists and no one deserves what they do to people. I'm shocked that they have set themselves up as a religious company. Yeah, right! By the way, they go by Platinum Television Group, PTG Studios, New Line Media TV, and a couple of others. If you get involved with them, you'll see one of their errors is to send emails from multiple company addresses.

#8UPDATE EX-employee responds

Chuck, I used to work there, and know you well and had to leave because the truth became very clear to me. I couldn't sleep at night. Can you head be any further up Dougs butt? You are suppose to be a "Good Christian". You have your little Prayer in the morning, and them steal money from unsuspecting people all day. As far as the airings go, that's just a sham too. They will tell a prospect that they air in a particular city. Actually, the will ask the propect to select the markets they want to air in. If you choose, let's say NYC with 7 million people, they will buy a half hour of time on a very small cable operator in that market. It may only be received by 5,000 homes, with less then 10 homes actually viewing. It's a ripoff, plain and simple and I do understand they are under investigation by the FBI. I have been contacted as others have been too. The hammer is soon to fall and fall hard upon you criminals. I for one will take great joy in seeing Mr Paul Douglas Scott fall and loose his assets. Including his million dollar home, complete with standby generator that he seems to like. He wants to make sure he is comfortable with other peoples money. Their 10,000 sqft facility is 9,000 sqft of telemarketers and 1,000 sqft of editing. No studio at all. Mr Scotts, ex partner, Walter Burton left the company for fear of what is to come. Chuck you need to be real, grow up and stop stealing, one day you will have to answer above for your actions. PTG needs to just be shut down. PTG pays their employees well and thats because they can; they don't spend the money of fulfillment. Next time you are at the video store, rent the movie "Boiler Room". That's about the best illustration as to how PTG operates. This company also operates under the name "Newline Media Solutions" Take a look at the public record for Broward County, FL (viewable on the web). You will be shocked

The Cost of Spot Production Response Magazine - April 2007 Issue The approximate costs of a 60-second spot compared to 2006's numbers. The figures are based on interviews with the spot producers working from budget to high-end shows.
