You have got to read my report on Platinum. Even if they were to pay you for the work it would be 10% of the actual cost. They will tell the dealership to do things that skyrocket the price so bad you wouldn't be able to afford it, kind of like what they did to me. What most people don't know is all these warranty companies come from the same insurance company. It is merely their job to keep costs as low as possible while trying to avoid a lawsuit. Your problems seem to have occurred at a very young age (car wise). Your two cars aren't that old, and with issues like that I can see where they would be hesitant, however, it isn't Platinum's place to decide what is normal wear and what isn't. Anyhow, on my last repair they tried to get out of, I had the dealership write them a letter stating why it was downright stupid to perform the repair in the manner they insisted upon (could have alleviated about $1000 of their costs and threw it on me), had my attorney bless and co-sign it, then strangely enough they paid it. Although as usual, my reimbursement check took over 13 weeks to arrive.
