Poetry.com - ISP - Steve Michaels Sends emails pertaining to conventions awards but does not reply back and now I cannot contact at all Owings Mills Maryland
I truly do not have a legitimate 'rip-off' report as most of you, rather, Steve Michaels & Poetry.com have left me completely 'dumbfounded' and simply, 'just-hanhing', since 2001.
That year, I entered a poetry contest with Poetry.com/ISP, and was notified months later that I had 'won 1st place' in the contest.
My awards for winning are; custom engraved Outstanding Achievement in Poetry Silver Award Bowl, a bronze Commemorative Award Medallion, ISP decal and patch, and a Full One Year Membership into the ISP for 2002.
I was emailed an invitation to collect my awards, as well as read my winning poem, in Washington, DC.
I wrote Mr. Michaels back, thanking - him, poetry.com, & ISP, but explained to him that I am a quadriplegic, paralyzed from the shoulders down and would-not be able to attend.
I didn't hear back from him until, Spring of '02, same pitch except the conference was at Walt Disney, FL. Again I replied, explaining my health conditions for that type of climate, 'no-reply'.
It's been the same ordeal, right-up until a month ago I am 'once-again' invited to sunny FL., but this year I can still receive my awards for a payment of $169.00 + S&H.
But now I cannot reach any of them. It's not the 'awards' or the costof said that has me writing, I would just 'truly' like to know the quality of my poetry. That's all.
My winning poem was titled, 'My Wife'. I looked for it to be posted somewhere within ISP, but never found it. So if anyone has seen my wife's poem, whether it's lame or not, please email me.
