They are ripp offs. I had 3 poems on their website and One of them disappeared. I called them and they said it was up for review by judges and it would be back on the website in 4 weeks. 4 weeks passed and it is still not back on the website. I called them today and they told me it was taken off because it was playgerized or it had profanity in it. My poem did not have any of these and I wrote this poem in September of 2001. It was about 9/11 So tell me what happened to it. It was the same person I talked to the last time I called them isn't that strange. I told her to just take my poems of the website and she said she would. She still didn't know where my poem went she had no explanation for it. Stupind F*$#@**% Rip Offs. I would justr give them a call.

If so, edit it to dumb characters=> %%$$## etc. Or enter some new-age poetry: Roses are red, Violets are blue. This site sucks, And so do you! Be creative! Enter some really obfuscated poetry. The Flight of the Jaberwocky was always a bit dense. Have fun until they get tired and remove your poetry.

If I were you I would try to contact Poetry.com about deleting my poems. They list no information on their site on how to delete your poems. If your poems are copyrighted to "YOU" (in my opinion) then they should NOT be allowed to "reserve the right" to use your poems without your permission nor should they be able to restore your original work if you choose to edit it. On the other hand it is their website they do have a right to the content therein of (providing it's copyrighted/registered to them). But if you choose to edit/delete your poetry, they should reserve an option for you to do so. If they do not like your edited version then they should contact you about this and give you the option on whether to use your original work on their site or delete it. If their not willing to delete your poetry I would contact a lawyer. I myself am not a lawyer thus I cannot give you information on the laws of copyright infringement. I would go to their site and read CAREFULLY through all rights and terms reserved to both the company and consumers. I would also read through any letters or emails that they might have sent you. You need to be careful with any suit or claim that you make against a company.
