How can this debt buyer be afforded the lattitude to get a judgement against anyone, without that person being made aware of these proceedings? Where are the rights of a consumer in all this? I see I am not the only one to have an issue with this company, let's start a class action law suit off them. Make them really earn and spend for the "very wide lattitude area" they operate in. There has to be some illegality in this. Lets stop writting complaints and get togehter and file a class action suit against these thieves.

If you have been a victim of Pressler & Pressler, please contact me at (212) 726-2472 or email [email protected]. I’d like you to be a witness in New Jersey on November 18, 2014 (in New Jersey, 30-minutes from NYC if you're also interested) for a civil matter. Please contact me for details. I’ve spoken with many victims of Pressler & Pressler, and your Pressler stories have been horrific. Some of you I have cried with. Get your experience with Pressler on record and finally hold Pressler accountable for their horrific actions, while Pressler has the audacity to attempt to play the victim in a civil matter.
Yes, Steven Lang, Sheldon Pressler, Frank Petulo, Mitch Williamson, Gerald Felt, Lawrence McDermott and numerous other Pressler staff have been caught in a major lie, but because Pressler knows how to break the law within the law they've actually filed a civil complaint claiming THEY'RE the victims. Here's your chance for all of us to speak in numbers and put it on the record in front of dozens of witnesses. This may be your only opportunity to get heard by Pressler and see the persons who have defrauded you face to face

I too am a victim of Pressler & Pressler. They took 1860.00 out of my account without my knowledge. They never told me they were taking the money. My bank Bank of America charged me a 100.00 fee for this and returned all checks that this amount caused to bounce AND charged me 140.00 in overdraft fees. I called the "Court Officer" who Bank of America said sent the court order to them and was told they tried to take money out, but there wasn't any. She told me to call Pressler and Pressler who were so rude and nasty. They sent me a letter of debit validation, but nothing attached. They said they got my checking account number because they had my social security number. I would love to be part of a class action lawsuit.

These people are nothing but third party debt collectors ie: junk buyers. Get a good consumer lawyer and sue them. Also check to see if they are required in your state to secure a surety bond to be able to collect debts at all. Contact your Attorney General and State Secretary asap

I agree.
I just got hit with a levy against my car. I am calling a family friend that is a lawyer first thing Monday.
I got contacted years ago by PnP and asked for proof. Never heard from them.
Never knew I had a judgment till now.
I am willing to file and there seem to be enough people on this site to do so.
If interested I will create a website to get things started.

Hi, to answer your question, if this company can indeed garnish wages, file a judgement, or any other act against you, without your knowledge, they Can't.
In order to have a legal judgement against you, they have to contact you at your proper address. They have to prove that contact was made at your current address or phone number. If that is not the case, you have the right to have this judgement thrown out of the Judicial System, based on that fact.
You have to go through the proper channels to do so. That means you have to file a Motion, to have said Judgement thrown out because the proper procedures were not inforced.
Company's like this are able to proceed as they do, because they count on the consumers illiteracy in the Judicial System when taking these cases to court and winning a judgement.
I'm not an Attorney, just a very educated consumer in the Judicial system.

I was a victim of this company as well. They're nothing but a bunch of nasty men with no empathy or compassion. They buy bad debts pennies on the dollar and then come after the little folks. They offer no payment plan except pay half now & half next week or pay the whole thing at once. IF I HAD THE $$ TO BEGIN WITH THE DEBT WOULD HAVE BEEN PAID! Spoke with them 2 weeks ago; guess i wasn't quick enough because they went into my bank account and wiped me out ... i'm unemployed; I'm penniless. The nj judge gave the court officer the right to do this ... AND the court officer gets a commission for doing this!!!!!!!! I'm livid and broke.
