The real story: On Wednesday, November 7th 2010 Arleen Marta called our office for a quote on a move going from Canyon Country, CA to Austell, GA. There was some hesitation at the time as to what date she wanted to have the items picked up, but after all requested the 10th for pick up. We came to her home on the 10th and everything was great, the guys did a wonderful job and were given a generous tip from Ms. Marta. The first available date on her contract was November 16th which legally allows us to deliver only on or after the 16th of that same month. I was contacted by Ms. Marta after this date when the goods were already dispatched for delivery and was asked why the delivery was late. I explained the "1st date available for delivery" is exactly what it means and that her load was in route. At this time I began getting harassed by Ms. Marta stating that our company stole her property and had no right to leave the state of California with her shipment. Now, at this point I figured maybe the customer got cold feet and decided not to move to Georgia, but to turn the blame on us, a company trying to provide a service contracted through the customer.. I have never been in a situation remotely close to this one and this was only the beginning.
Over the next few days we received endless phone calls to the office, my work cell phone and to our employees cell phones. Threats made, impersonation of an LAPD officer and frivolous claims which had no truth at all. We have on a company cell phone; a voice mail from "Investigator Frank" with the LAPD threatening us to bring the load back to CA. He asked for me to call back at specific phone number and I did. There was no answer, so I called from the number he left a Voice mail from and guess who answered, Ms. Marta. When the load did arrive in GA way well within the legal time frame for delivery, there was no-one to receive this shipment. Per our contract in a situation like this we have to place the items in a storage facility close to the customers house, and that is exactly what we did. Since that time I personally have been in contact with Ms. Marta. After all the threats she made to my company, cursing she threw around and all the racial slurs. I decided to deal with this one on my own. The entire time I am working with Ms. Marta on resolving this situation for her, I find out she has been posting reviews with false information slandering our company to the worst degree. At this time let it be known that we have reached out for legal assistance and we have a strong leg to stand. Ms. Marta has been nothing short of unreasonable and we have been trying to work this out with her every which way. We are still willing to work this out with Ms. Marta. And for the record; I spoke with Ms. Marta's Lawyer who contacted me and all that was discussed is exactly what's in this rebuttal.
