I was trying to locate hotels that accept dogs and ended up on a website pethotels.com. I booked a hotel (Hampton Inn) for 2 nights. after confirming the reservation there was a button which said save 10%. Now I am no dummy on the internet, but I wanted to see if it was a coupon or an offer. After pressing the button i realized that I wanted nothing to do with it. I backed out of it. Now on top of the 19.95 charge to make the reservation i am being charged 12.95 for trip insurance. Whaaaaat is trip insurance. When you buy something you should confirm or put in a credit card number. Noooooooo they had my card number from my making the reservation so they took it upon themselves to charge me for pushing a button which said save 10%! No refund for me. Do not do business with this company. On the website for pethotels they do not even indicate that they are priceline. Customer service answers "customer care" and it took an act of congress to pull out of them what company they work for. Stay away from priceline and before booking on the internet find out who you are doing business with. and dooooont press any buttons

I got the website wrong. it is petvacations.com instead of pethotels.com.

Online merchants have a tendency to do things like this. I would contact your credit card company and let them know that you're being charged for something you didn't agree to.

Priceline.com: Very aggressive with credit cards

I hope I'm not being redundant, but this is the second Priceline.com rip-off report today. Mine was the other. I would just like to corroborate your experience with Priceline.com's aggressiveness with unauthorized credit card billing. I'm an attorney. What they are doing is civilly actionable and, in my jurisdiction of California, may be criminally actionable. As set forth in the report, I had a similar experience of being billed for services that were neither confirmed nor received.
