I submitted a bid for airline tickets from Indianapolis to KEY WEST, Florida this morning. I got a box asking if I would be willing to accept a 4-hr connection from Fort Lauderdale. Thinking that this was my connecting flight to Key West, I hit submit.

My credit card was immediately charged, and then the itinerary pops up, which indicates nothing about Key West. I immediately called priceline using the number at the bottom of the itinerary. I was told this was my fault; I signed the contract and hit submit.

Please keep in mind that I called within five minutes of hitting submit to clarify what I was then reading AFTER my card was charged! I told priceline that I was calling my personal banker to stop the charges after they said they would not rectify the situation.

Priceline told me it would dispute any stop payment I placed on the transaction. They were combative in attitude. Of course, I did immediately contact my banker, and within a half hour of "hitting submit", my bank has put in the paperwork to stop the transaction. I will not know the full results until Monday, as this happened on a Friday. Priceline's version of my itinerary has me going to Fort Lauderdale in a week. I only hope that this is resolved by Monday.

My bank, Keybank, did say that the customer is always right in these cases, as I have not used priceline's product yet and I immediately tried to resolve/clarify the situation. I also tried to contact priceline first to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I know one thing: NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE PRICELINE! I ONLY WISH I HAD FOUND THIS SITE BEFORE THIS INCREDIBLE HASSLE!!!!
