I'd like to tell you a story,
Its about a pyramid scam I almost fell victim to called PRIMERICA INSURANCE, never heard of it? Thats because you only hear about it when somebody gets screwed over.
I work at a department store, A couple months back an older gentleman came to pick up an order. As I loaded it into his car he started up a friendly conversation, about his godsend business and the opportunity behind the curtains.
Let me tell you a bit about this gentleman first, my sister thats 19 years older than me was friends with his wife's daughter, not relevant, but what im getting at his he was a poor supporter, and an alchoholic. I didn't recognize him to be that man at the time.
So he bought me in, what can I say? Fasttalking Eddy threw some quick words and Iced the cake, I was in, I accepted his card.
So he took my number down too, suprise suprise, he knew I would forget and he couldn't let such opportunity for a scam fall to waste.
So lets just say his name is James.... James falls ill with liver problems (hence the alchoholism) and he hands my number off to his business acquaintance Chris Colbeck. Chris CALLS ME up and invites me to a little coffee and presentation at a local restaurant in my town....
I'd like to say how much I enjoy the way these guys make it seem like its just gonna be you and them, but you either got some ugly high up executive guy leering over your shoulder, or a crowd of 5 or 6 other victims at an infosession..
I'd like to expand on the infosession, this is where I met Patrick Matthews, I believe Regional Vice President for Guelph...
This guy kills me, his dedication to recruitment, his constant eye contact and the smell of BULL shat on his breath... it's like they hired this machine strictly to f**k any jimbean airhead (or so they presume) right in the butt (pardon my language) with the primerical stick of enlightenment.
Somebody end it quickly.
This guy, calls me, "yes, when do you think you will be able to cover the 212 dollar fee" "coffee at tim hortons on tuesday? ill be there" Why would this yahoo drive from guelph to my population 22,000 town just to have coffee with me?
Because if he gets my cover fee, he gets paid.
It took a little bit of time for me to come upon this eye opening FACT. Primerica is the hellspawn of an enigma called Citibank. I will not fall victim to the shitstorm fallen astrew from the flaming umbrella of doom.
So I warn those of you... If the name Pat Matthews or Chris Colbeck, or his staring problem wife ever surface with "A business opportunity of a lifetime"
PUSH IT TO THE BACK OF YOUR HEAD, and keep working those 8 hour days at a department store for 8 and a quarter an hour, because you will get rich quicker.
