Public adjusters come out of the woodwork when a terrible fire occurs. What you may see as a rescue effort on their behalf to "rebuild" the ashes is REALLY a quick method for these vultures to get thousands from your insurance company. Keith Dunne and Dominick Olivero of York Adjusting Bureau did just that and I NOW have a home INCOMPLETE of the contracted work promised. So they've received over $95,000.00 to relieve my family of a tragically burned home and in return ONLY ADDED to the disaster by leaving my home UNFINISHED. I've tried consistantly to contact them and each time that I was lucky enough to receive a call back--they only communicate through their answering service company they've hired--they promise to come back to the home BUT NEVER HAVE.
MAJOR problems concerning my electricity, heat, air conditioning, windows, deck area, insulation, dishwasher, chimney, and even UNlevel cracked MARBLE floor tiles have ALL been brought to their attention. To DATE NOONE has returned to my home to make good of the $95,000.00 and MORE they've already received from my insurance company. How does a company show up like knights in shining armor in such a time of distress, contract themselves to rebuild your home and then RIDE AWAY WITH THE CHECK into the sunset? Where do MORALS and COMMON DAMNED COURTESY play their part?! They have now failed as a business-which places me in a WORSE position and Keith Dunne has since started an adjusting company by the name of
"Professional Public Adjusting" located at 39 Swan Drive Massapequa New York zip code 11758. Telephone No. (516) 798-1499. Unless you go through the answering service they've hired you WILL NOT be able to reach him and EVEN then he WILL NOT RETURN YOUR CALL once he's notified of the name and number--after all HOW do you CALL someone you've ripped off and and constantly made empty promises to? So PPPLLLLEEEAAASSSEEEE be aware of public adjusters. They thrive on your misfortune. In the midst of the building that they DID MANAGE to do they asked that I write a letter of recommendation and at that time I had NO problem. To date that letter is posted on their site without the awareness that it represented a time when they BEGAN the work. That was so SLICK on their part! My name is Keith Dunne and I am the owner of Professional Public Adjusting, Inc. The false report posted by Shawn K. of Brentwood, NY 3 years ago has been fully retracted by her (yes her, it's a female) and an apology has been issued. Although the report has been admitted to be false by the author, it still appears in search engines online. I don't mind that this site protects people's first amendment rights but the truth should be highlighted and viewed by all. Prospective clients still read the false report and do not see the full retraction. I'm hoping my Rebuttal reaches all those that are inquiring about my company.
Alias-Shawn K was a vendor I used once from a referral. The product she delivered was not what she was hired for. I paid her for her time but not in full for her service because she did not perform anything close to what she was hired for. Unfortunately she then became irrational and vindictive, hence the false report. She has since been remorseful and apologetic. She admits her mistake and i have forgiven her.

I am hereby fully retracting the above complaint dated 5/12/2009. Please be advised that none of the above allegations against Mr. Keith Dunne or Mr. Dominick Oliviero are true.
I hope that I have not caused them any unnecessary inconvenience with this erroneous information.
I am TRULY sorry and apologize for my actions.
