Complaint Review: Progressive Design-scentura Creations - Jacksonville Florida

my name is phil- i respoded to an ad in the fl times union under misc. it stated entry level mngmnt will train and some other crap so i called.they wanted me to come in at 3;30 so i did i was then asked to fill out a apllication wich looked like it had been made a poor copy of.it was a basic app front and back 3 reffrences nothing about previous employment.i was sitting in the lobby where there is just a desk with several magazines their was also loud music playing all around the building.thats when sean shinick introduced his self as the regional mgr their was another guy their for the interveiw also at that time we was told that we was going to both be interveiwed at the same time and the first interveiw lasted about 10 minutes he led us back to another office where their was a desk and a ugly couche then went on to ask questions like what we was looking for in a company and how i would rate my customer skills and some other stuff. he then told me to call at 5;05 and they will let me know if i was invited back for the second interview so i did at around 5;15 and the secretery said that i was chosen to come around 12;00 on thursday.SECOND INTERVIEW ===when i got there dressed sharp with a note pad and a pen i was then escorted to room with about 20 other people where we were to sit in plastic patio chairs the room was very colorful and had pictures of people,bulletin boards and motivational words on it their was a tv/vcr the board in the front had office locations on it here are some of them --tampa,orlando,sav ga,memphis tn,chicago ill,birm ala,and several others. we were told to write every thing down note=== i still dont know what the company does or what the positions are, okey at that time sean enters the room and starts off by saying that he uses foul laguage and anybody that dont like it can leave.i would have to say the people their were around 20-30 yrs old anyway he went on by saying he went to college at the university of ala got out could not find a job and answerd the ad and hes been with the company for about 8 years he then stated that his boss wanted him to come to jacksonville fl. as he went on talking about larry hawn backing the company financially then went on to say their is five steps to being mgmnt 1 mrkting,2 training and evaluation,3adminastration 4 mgmnt this was also said to be training buisness to business combos, parking lots and yes the famous word ffart==sell to friends and family. he also did not like the word negative said that youre famaly would be negative and bring you down i mean this guy was slick telling us that he does not make less than 3,000 a week he also referred to the training as torture ok moving on training is 5-8weeks depending on how fast you accelerated remember we still dont know what were doing---then he says he has to reveiw some refrences and then the receptionist comes in and starts talking company history and told the story of larry hawn,said the corp was located in chicago ill and was a member of the bbb and said their manufacture was based in atlanta ga since 1974 at that time we found out about the distribution of fragrances then we called sean back in to the room and he then finished the pitch he stated that we would get younger people to sell the product for 50 bucks aday every thing was to be paid in cash on fridays plus incentives,bonuses and profit sharing 4 times a year at that time he said he would then name off names of the people to start on monday he then wanted everybody to clap when someone was chosen ironically i was the third one chosen i then was supposed to be excited that i made it and got up to collect my background check form which is supposed to be free but on the bottem it sayes 50processing fee anyway so i was invited back to orientation on monday 10;30 so on monday morn i got up to research the company and found that scentura creations is the suplier for these ind. firms and realized i was about to be the next person to be craped on i believe all the reports about other company names but are pretty much the same bull i did not ever once know that i would be hussling perfume in parkinglots out side of bussines's for little to know money thanks to reports posted on this site i didnt waist anymore of my time on these scam artist who knows what could have happend.
