I ordered a prom dress for my neighbor whose family can't afford to buy her a dress. She picked out a dress from Prom Princess a division of Ciera Collection. At the time of the order I felt uneasy about the poorly designed web site but felt that if it was associated with yahoo shopping it must be legitimate. First mistake!

Yahoo wil let anyone hang up a shingle. The shipping costs were not disclosed anywhere. I was expecting a confirmation email detailing shipping and summarizing the order. I received nothing from the company. I started sending emails daily to the company and once received a one line reply that stated would you like to change your shipping method.

We were approaching a deadline with the dance and I sent several emails requesting a phone number so I could talk with someone. There was no reply, two weeks after ordering the dress it showed up and had been mailed next day air to the tune of $35.00. I never authorized next day air, nor did I request it. The dress was fine and worth the $99 we paid for it.

I do feel that we were ripped off in the shipping department. It was a poorly run organizaton and very misleading in the shipping department and virtually impossible to contact a living person. The Better Business Bureau had many complaints against this woman and her online companies. BEWARE! of shipping costs.

ripoffreport.com needs to be careful when reporting a company because comsumer needs to have proof of what their reporting on our company or any other company or ripoffreport.com and consumer will see lots of lawsuits flying around for DEFAMATION of Ciera Collection. First off Ciera Collection does not steal money or anything else. When we first began Ciera Collection website we did no offer refunds due to the nature of our business which is selling bridal and formalwear online so we receive some complaints due to the policy which we have now change where we now offer refunds less 25% restocking fees. Yes we do have some reports on BBBonline which were all resolved with our customers but we did not report information to BBBonline which was our mistake and we will be answering very soon. We started our business under the name Dynasty kids in the beginning then we added Ciera Collection and Prom Princess and time span of 5 years online we have had about 22 complaints due to our past refund policy. We communicate with our customers via email and in the past we did have a 1-800 number inwhich we have now disconnected because we don't have the manpower to handle the phone lines at this time. Please some of the reports are bogus, some customers will report a company just because a item is out of stock they really wanted. Also we do not make unauthorized charges to customer's credit cards. Most of the time customer will see authorization only for the amount of purchase plus $20 over for shipping and handlings but credit card is not charged until order process and shipped. Customer will make false reports against Ciera Collection stating that their credit card was charged because ripoffreport.com and bbbonline do not require customers to prove what their reporting. For example I look up this customer who reported our company in January and I have find no such records for this customer. So who is she? What her name or order number or State and City because the Name, City and State she gave ripoffreport.com was bogus because I could not find a order in this person's name. So believe this customer report should be taken down.
